Far exceeded my expectations

As with most do-it-yourself installations, you would expect something unexpected to come up during installation, however, with this product that didn't happen. I went online and found a youtube video of this being installed and went step by step and it was far, far easier than I had anticipated. The design of the product was easy to install in about a 12-inch space between the concrete wall of the garage and where the opener connects to the garage. It slid right over the rod and bolted on and…

Pros
  • Easy to install and quit operation
Cons
  • The battery backup takes a while to recharge

Pretty easy to install and works great so far

I bought this opener to operate a 10'x16' sectional door in my shop. It takes up very little space and is much easier to install than a track type opener, especially in a metal shop building with no ceiling. Performing the various adjustments of limits, etc. after the mechanical installation took us a few tries we were able to get everything set up just fine in the end. I've only been using it a couple of days so it's too soon to rate for durability. The opener moves this big door smoothly and…

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Only compatible with the Genie brand

Strait forward installation

Everything needed was in the box. Clear instructions and straight forward installation. My door was balanced pretty well with no opener and the opener raises and lowers my 10x18 foot shop door without additional adjustments.

Pros
  • This was easy to install and lifts a 10x10 vertical lift door with ease and super quiet
Cons
  • Tends to overheat, and may even cause fire hazards

This is a fantastic garage door opener. Installation instructions are very clear. Range on small remote is more than adequate. Separate LED light is nice feature and it can be mounted away from the garage door if desired.

Pros
  • Extremely easy to install, very smooth operation and is really quiet. Highly recommend this opener.
Cons
  • Prone to technical faults and malfunctions

Overall Great but very Tedious to install.

I attempted to install this before a midday shift one day and it was a disaster. Drilling holes into metal was the difficult part for me. I ended up finishing up this "project” a couple weeks later. After final installation the opener is very nice! If I would have hired someone to install it OR just had some extra hands, I think this would have been an A+ experience.

Pros
  • ‎41410X
Cons
  • Requires constant upkeep and servicing

Like it, but two issues

Homeowner here. I just installed three of these in a shop. I like them, but have two comments. First, alignment with the shaft. The motors tend to move slightly when operating, which I assume is due to either the alignment on the shaft or that the shaft is slightly bent - causing the motor to move as it rotates. I spoke to a Liftmaster dealer and he said theirs do the same thing, so I assume most likely the garage door shaft. I left the lag bolts slightly loose and let it move, rather than…

Pros
  • ‎Yes
Cons
  • Does not include an LCD or LED screen

Easy too install with low noise.

Installation was very easy. So was programming it. Most impressive is the low noise. The click to release the door lock is just about all I hear. The rest is noise the door makes by itself anyway. Remotes from the cars work from the end of my driveway, about 200 feet. (The door starts with a somewhat lengthy delay, wait a few seconds there she goes)The battery on my unit came in handy on day 2 already when we had a power failure. Slower, but opens and closes. There is a low humming noise audible

Pros
  • Garage Doors, Openers & Parts
Cons
  • An outdated model

Easy to install , and space saver

It’s nice and quiet, no more vibrating noise from the chain and motor, easy to install . Wireless wall controller works nice, I can install anywhere I want to.

Pros
  • SPACE SAVING: The Genie wall mount garage door opener clears up ceiling space by eliminating rail & powerhead from the ceiling, mounts to the side of the garage doors torsion spring. You can use the freed-up space for extra storage or just enjoy the clean, uncluttered look.
Cons
  • Might cause interference to other electronic devices in the vicinity

*UPDATE*Not even six-months in and the opener jammed halfway open. This was a result of a 'spring tensioner' failure, which I predicted would happen in my original review below. The junk tensioner jammed in the track, pinching in-between two pieces where the track bolts together. The only way to un-bind the jam was to physically cut the spring tensioner. Luckily, the door is back to being operational - it seems as if this junky part is unnecessary, so if I had to do this over again, I wouldn't…

Pros
  • Awesome Product!
Cons
  • Not user-friendly controls
