Sturdy and Stable.: Tripods and Monopods

I used to shoot a lot of videos with a small camera like the Kodak ZI8 or even older Flip models. Sometimes I also used my iPhone. Since I used small cameras, I put together a collection of small tripods that were too flimsy to hold my Canon EOS M and any major lens. I bought it to solve this problem. I didn't use it as a tripod mount, but being able to use it that way was an advantage for me too. I've attached a picture of a tripod along with an EOS M with a Canon EF-EOS mount adapter and an…

This grip/tripod quickly and easily converts into a stabilizing grip

This little tripod is very comfortable to hold! This grip/tripod converts quickly and easily from a stabilizing grip to a fairly sturdy little tripod. The legs have rubber inserts to keep them in place. You can easily tilt the camera up and down. YouTube also has a full review of it, just search for the product name. I really like using it with smartphones. You will of course need your own smartphone tripod adapter to hold your phone. I really like it, I use it all the time. 5 Stars

It's cheap and feels cheap

It says "stabilizer" for a tripod, but it takes 3 seconds to stop shaking my head and stabilize myself when I use my 675- g camera mount which is only 12% heavier than the declared limit at 0.6 kg. The stand is very light (86 g/3 oz) and fits in a Case Logic DSLR bag along with the camera. The two rear legs are terribly weak, the plastic is cheap and stinks, and the knob to turn the screw is awkwardly recessed making it slow and difficult to turn, and the hard plastic hurts your fingers. But…

Makes using your phone camera EASY!

I use this with my iPhone 6 plus, Reticam mount http://www.amazon.com/RetiCAM%C2%AE-Smartphone-Tripod-Mount-Universal/dp/ B00FS5L9D4/ and Ztylus Case http://www.amazon.com/Ztylus-Revolt-Smartphone-Kick dh dp_N004=.smartphone UTF8&qid=1434569033&sr=8-2&keywords=ztylus+iphone+6+plus&pebp=1434569117095&perid=0QRHGBDN0PT2K7CSBACZ and it is the perfect combination. People think I have a fancy camera and I can either hold it for stabilization or spread my legs to stand on a flat surface. Great deal…

Great for lightweight cameras

Perfect for a lightweight camera, LED light or microphone to place on a table, etc. Love how the legs can fold into the handle for a handle. I wouldn't put a heavy DSLR like my 7D on it, but I've played with it on my GH4 and was surprised at how well it works turning it on both sides for vlogging. Bought it for the new Canon G7x MkII but haven't got it yet so if it works for the larger size it will fit. The top part that holds the camera clicks after clicking until it reaches the top, so I…

I love this stand! - Tripods and monopods

I bought this specifically for use with a Zoom audio recorder and am very happy with it. Brilliant design. Its support and flexibility on level ground is perfect - just what you need and nothing more. You can even rotate it to balance it on a slightly inclined surface. It also acts as a comfortable grip and is extremely portable. I'll probably buy another one as a spare along with other gear like a Canon G series camera. As with buying ALL tripods, make sure you choose one that matches the size

Not very good overall and I don't recommend installing mirrorless cameras.

When I opened my Revain box and saw this tripod mount, I immediately saw the build quality and for the price it is very cheap and the build quality is very poor. I would not recommend this for a small DSLR or small mirrorless camera. The mounting plate wobbles a lot, even if you screw a small tripod onto the cameras, it just wobbles too much and snaps into the joints and cannot be leveled afterwards. It's better to look for a better video shooter build. It will work well for a mobile phone, but
