Description of Gunnar Optiks Anti Glare Lightweight Construction

GUNNAR Gaming and Computer Glasses: GUNNAR glasses protect your eyes and enhance performance. Reduce digital eye strain and block blue light with amber or liquet lens tint options. Patented Lens Technology: GUNNAR is the only patented gaming and computer eyewear recommended by doctors to protect and enhance your vision while viewing digital screens (Patented Lens #9417460). Reduce Digital Eye Strain: GUNNAR glasses address all short and long-term side effects associated with digital eye strain, including: headaches, dry eyes, blurry vision, glare, negative effects of artificial blue light, eye strain and fatigue. Block Blue Light: GUNNAR lens tints filter artificial blue light emitted from digital screens. Just how Sun Protection Factor (SPF) measures protection for the skin, the Blue Light Protection Factor (BLPF) scale measures lens protection for the eye. Sleep Better: GUNNAR glasses block harmful blue light, which helps you maintain your circadian rhythm, the body’s natural sleep cycle.

I was very skeptical at first, now I'm convinced!

When I first heard about these glasses I was very skeptical as you probably are. I couldn't believe that glasses like this could help me get rid of my headache and eye pain. I work on the computer all day and program at night. I don't play video games and these glasses are mainly for video game lovers. I took a chance and ordered them here knowing that if I didn't like them I could return them. After living with them for several weeks, I have no intention of returning them. This particular…

Instant reduction in eye strain when working on the computer!

I've been an IT professional for 15 years and wish I had bought all of this 15 years ago! I've recently started working in an office with direct fluorescent overhead lighting and have found my eyestrain to be severe. The tension was high enough to cause a headache and I had trouble sleeping. From the first day I put these glasses on, the eyestrain is completely gone! The frames are also very professional for an office environment! I also play PC and console games on a bright LED TV. These…

Fits well and reduces eye fatigue well!

I've always loved using Gunnars. I currently have several pairs and even bought a few for friends. I easily noticed the difference after using Gunnars compared to looking at my computer screen with the naked eye. I used to feel tired and I didn't realize it was because my eyes were tired (not my brain or body!) until I tried them. Even when I'm not working on the computer (i.e. reading a textbook or document) they are still much easier on the eyes. Also, one of my favorite things about Gunnars…

Maybe it's a placebo effect, but maybe it's actually working

Since I started working full time from home about 3 months ago, I've found myself working longer than ever or; At the end of the day, my eyes hurt physically and I had trouble concentrating (visually, not mentally). That seems to help. The frames look like real good quality glasses, not drugstore sunglasses. They have a slight yellow tinge. It seems to me that they are converting the screen from a harsh bluish white LED (>6000K) to a warmer glow color (3000-2700K), making it noticeably…

You get what you pay for

I've tried other computer glasses and this is the best I've worn. Positive: After daily use in the office, they don't show any scratches. I had another popular pair that had a deep dent the same day I opened the box, so that's a nice feature (real scratch resistance). They don't make the whole world appear yellow, but they make the whole world appear very blue. if you take them off before your eyes can adjust. In other words, it's not an overwhelming hue. However, my eyes feel much more rested…

Should come with a hard case arrived damaged

As others have said this really should come with a hard case even if it's cheap. When I received the package and opened it, the box of glasses was crushed and both ends of the box were broken. I'm surprised it didn't take more damage than it did, but even one of the lenses was missing and out of place. There was also a lash on one of the lenses, which makes me wonder if this was a throwback. The side of the box with the large UPC/Barcode sticker was torn cleanly, not just creased but still…

Pros
  • handy item
Cons
  • Can I add something

I bought this frame and Gunnar G0005-C001. While the G0005-C001 model is very light and comfortable, this model (ST003) is much heavier. That being said, the ST003 has much less curvature and fits my large nose with a medium sized face much better. Although Gunnars advertises the severe curvature of their frames, 4 of my colleagues who are licensed opticians would not recommend this. 8 The base curve, which is G0005, can distort vision and actually contribute to headaches. Since it's all about…

  • Very expensive

Return. You can get much cheaper goggles here at Revain that are much more effective. watch the video Background in case you're wondering: Back in the 1990's, a man bought a pair of computer glasses online and they were phenomenal. They reduced eye strain to almost zero and were clear with no yellow or orange cast. (Which I find reprehensible). But they cost $250 and were prescription and got damaged and the coating started to wear off. However, when they were new, they were final. I've been…

Read Me: It Might Help You Make a Decision.

They serve their purpose. They help with glare, photosensitivity, cluster headaches, migraines and other "white noise" that you don't understand until you see it again, in the right environment. For some reason people on the internet think this product is a joke. Well, from someone with constant migraines, severe pain, and partial paralysis, I don't know. The fact is, the product is what the user makes with it. If you decide to put it on your head and claim it doesn't work, don't bother writing
