    Just a small detail

    I had to replace the old remote control, the batteries exploded and corroded inside. So, get yourself a new one from these villains. Connected directly to my player with no problems. The only, and I mean the ONLY problem, is that you really have to unlock the buttons. But it works great in every other way.

    As good as the original

    As good as the one that came with my Visio TV for a fraction of the cost of replacing an 'official' set. The one that came with the TV only lasted 2 years. Don't say much. The remote should last for years or at least the life of the device. It's just great.

    The original remote for my Samsung 4k player was so small that it was difficult to use. I often pressed the wrong button and got the wrong function. This remote control is much friendlier and easier to use. I just wish it included a programming guide for use with other branded devices like Sony TV. It doesn't indicate if it only works with Samsung branded products.

    This product should replace the remote control for Samsung TV and Samsung Blu-ray Player. It worked great right out of the box. Insert two AAAs and you're on your way. No settings are required. I am very thankful that there are third party products that can easily replace what my kids are missing. Makes my life more bearable on that front.

    Finally a new controller that WORKS!

    Buy this and you'll be lucky, lucky, lucky. Well at least glad you did! The original Samsung controller basically just frustrated me - it always seemed reprogrammed to other DVD models or just didn't work at all. For better or worse, when it was "lost" (it turned out to be a great thing), I ordered a Gvirtue AK59-00149A and never got it back. Well, to be honest, you'll need to provide two of your own AAA batteries (no big deal), and there's no manual. Who even looks at the manuals? A nice touch

    Works with ubd-k8500

    I can confirm that this remote control works with the Samsung ubd-k8500 Blu-ray player. After searching everywhere for a cheap remote, I gave this remote a try even though it isn't listed as compatible. This remote not only works, it's better than the original remote. A simple benefit is changing the battery. This remote uses 2 AAA batteries, not button cell batteries like the original remote. Also, you don't have to go to your toolbox and pull out a screwdriver just to change the batteries…
