and long figured out how to record cassettes, the instructions say nothing about it, now it really doesn't work and makes unpleasant noises, I had this for less than a month, and I don't have one good process to speak to revane and i have to pay to get him back to get credit for it. Very disappointed. I spend more money to get a quality CD player that won't break after a few months. Unfortunately money was misused. It broke after a few months. For the money you pay you should get something that will last longer. So upset. It is very sad that they are selling this to classrooms and schools because the schools do not have enough money to replace an expensive CD player every year. Huge crap.

I actually bought this to transfer a cassette to USB so I can then transfer it to iTunes, listen to an iPod or burn a CD. I had a very good experience. It took me a little while to figure it out, but pausing between each song and treating each song as a separate file worked best for me. I had to record several songs but I downloaded each song after it was recorded so it took a long time but it was worth it. I will definitely use this wonderful CD MP3 player for many things. The Hamiltonbuhl 5050 Boombox is almost too small for the user to control its functions. Materials are cheaply made suggesting they break easily. A device sent by a third party was apparently shipped to a previous purchaser and then returned but not marked as used.
