Page Magnifier on my review.

Was disappointed in the use of the page magnifier. It did not really increase he size of the print/numbers as I had hoped. Also the corners of the magnifier were not clear. The stand is too high for my purposes. I did like the light feature. Will return it for something smaller, maybe a half page size.

Pros
  • Ideal for reading birthday and greeting cards
Cons
  • The magnifying glass may be difficult to clean or sanitize, which can be a concern for some users

Good value for the price

I bought it thinking my son could use it for making images larger on his chrome book while doing his assignments at home. It didn’t really work for that but it is convenient for magnifying a whole page. I felt like the image wasn’t as crisp from a whole document perspective but maybe that’s just what happens with magnifying. It’s thickness and quality were great. Good value for the price

Pros
  • Helps to improve hand-eye coordination and concentration
Cons
  • The magnifying glass may be too reflective or prone to glare, making it difficult to read in certain lighting conditions

This is plastic and the LEDs are not as bright as could be.

This unit is made of plastic, I don't think it will hold up under extensive use. The lense is plastic, and I don't like the construction although it does magnify the way I wanted. The LEDs are not as bright as I want.

Pros
  • Light weight, easy to use, good clearity.
Cons
  • The magnifying glass may become scratched or damaged over time, affecting its effectiveness

Great page magnifier.

This page magnifier is a really good value for the price. It's light enough to hold up on your own, and the LEDs make it easy to read the page even in low light. The fold out legs appear flimsy but are quite sturdy. I was skeptical of the string to hold the magnifier up by your neck, but it works rather well to let you control the magnifier with one hand and turn pages with the other hand.

Pros
  • Perfect for reading recipe books and ingredient labels
Cons
  • The device may be difficult to store or transport when not in use

My grandfather appreciated this gift!

My grandfather has glaucoma and has been gradually losing his sight all his life. He's now 89 but still enjoys reading the paper - when able. I bought this for his birthday and he was quite tickled.Loves: the bright lights, the frame for standing it above the newspaper, and how light weight it is.The only concerns: I wish the legs were more sturdy. There's a random string that's supposed to be for holding it around your neck, but it seems like a complete afterthought. There's also a cord for…

Pros
  • LED light provides clear illumination in low light conditions
Cons
  • The device may be too complex or difficult to set up for some users

Handsfree LED Magnifier.

I SO wanted to LOVE this item - but - it is anything but practical or worth the purchase. I bought it with the idea of using it to clearly see my paint by the number Diamond Dot painting projects - without having to use two strengths of reading glasses stacked one upon the other to SEE hundreds of thousands of those tiny little color coded squares.Alas - the frame and fold out "legs" are extremely thin flimsy plastic and - unless you want to stand directly ABOVE the darn thing to see anything…

Pros
  • Great product but I wasn't able to use it for my project.
Cons
  • I know you get what you pay for, but it is a bit flimsy. It does work.

Magnifier needs to be held with both hands

This magnifier string for around your neck seems like a good idea; but doesn't work - it's too wobbly. Also, the image at the bottom is distorted when you try to slant the magnifier on the table (two feet down, two up) so that you only see about half the page. Keeping both feet extended works the best for magnification, but then you are forced to stand up and look straight down at the page. In the end, it works best holding the magnifier in both hands; which defeats the "hands free" purpose.

Pros
  • Hands-free design allows for comfortable, extended use
Cons
  • The magnifying glass may cause eye strain or discomfort for some users

Good for table reading only?

Not easy to use , unless reading at a table.I needed it for bed. I should have got one with a handle . We live an learn I guess. But it does magnify well and gives a clear view.

Pros
  • Lightweight and portable for use on-the-go
Cons
  • It may not be suitable for users who prefer simpler or more intuitive solutions

Very practical good for me

My mother recently had eye surgery and traveled to see me. I got this for her. It was a little od and cumbersome to get used to in the first half hour but after that she was walking around the house with it around her neck reading from her tablet. She initially thought the string just got in the way but now loves it. SO DON'T CUT THE STRING. The lighting feature is also very helpful in low light. My only complaint is it did not come with an outlet adapter (we're using an extra from an old…

Pros
  • 9.57 x 6.46 x 0.99 inches
Cons
  • The device may be too bulky or awkward to travel with

Love the light! for my opinion

As I’m getting older, I’m having more trouble reading books, newspapers and mail. I recently purchased a book but found that reading it was difficult. So I ordered the hands free magnifying stand. I especially love the fact that it has a light which really helps old eyes. While it is a little flimsy, I found it to be easy to use, especially on a lap desk. I have also used the neck rope for reading in bed which worked better than I anticipated. While I still prefer using Kindle, sometimes you…

Pros
  • Can increase reading speed
Cons
  • The device may not be suitable for users who need to multitask or use their hands while reading
