Very strong base for such a light weight.

Solid, durable base. My wheels and 2" lift cylinder fit with no problems. Combined with all the other heavy duty parts, I replaced a regular 250lb maximum office chair with a 500lb maximum office chair (you need a heavy duty lift cylinder, a pivoting recline mechanism and buy wheels. Normal items won't cut. A chain is only as weak as its weakest link. I was a little apprehensive when I first received it as the shipping box was badly crushed and tattered but the bottom inside was properly…

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Roller bores must be deburred.

The base is solid and fits snugly in my chair's lift cylinder. The finish at the top feels pretty good. The only problem was getting the casters into the holes in the base. My first attempts to land her were unsuccessful, so I decided to take a closer look at her before using force. There were rough spots on the casting/liner in the roller mounting holes. I wrapped 80 grit sandpaper around the handle of the bit holder and after a few minutes of work I was able to adjust the rollers properly…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Hard to say

LOOK FOR SAFETY: Furniture Legs

As they say you have to work hard to fit these casters. In addition, it is aesthetically pleasing and appears to be very durable. I'm a tall man at 350 and so far it feels very secure and sturdy. Of course I'm only a few days old. It's hollowed out, so don't expect a solid piece. In any case, a single piece will be too heavy. The plastic I had before didn't let my chair roll well. It was 24 inches now 28 inches. Not sure about the difference in performance, but this one allows my chair to…

Pros
  • Great for a small home

Back to work in less than 24 hours

I will definitely buy this again if needed. Background: Office for 1 person. On my expensive, beautiful Steelcase chair, the cylinder failed. Found a replacement online. Cool! But: it turned out that it was impossible to remove the old cylinder (it happens, google it). It's hard to work with nowhere to sit. Then I found this. **I was back to work in less than 24 hours and spent less time installing than it would have taken to find the right person at an office furniture store. ** The base was…

So far so good good for furniture legs

Just assembled so can't comment on durability yet. If it falls apart in the near future I will definitely come back and revise my review. I appreciate that other reviewers mentioned the difficulty installing cutscenes. I would have thought something was wrong with the base if it weren't for these reviews. As it turns out, I managed to assemble these videos https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001H96YRG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 with just my hands - no tools. It was'nt easy.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Some flaws

A very well made replacement stand that far exceeds the poor quality stand that originally came with my office chair. If the manufacturer of my chair originally used the base sold here at Revain, I wouldn't have had to replace it. On my original base, the small (and only two) weak welds holding the caster rod receiver/barrel to the base came loose. This caused my Rollers to fall off the base. This base I bought here is very well made, the welds are long and along several places that hold the…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Good quality but hollow chair base.

The product fully corresponds to the description. This is a cast aluminum 5-point base for office and work chairs or some stools. Requires standard wheels. Fits standard hydraulic pistons. This does not affect the comfort of your chair in any way. Tested with: Noblechairs Epic Real Leather. Replacement of hydraulic cylinders in the aftermarket. Floortex polycarbonate chair mat PLUS: - Product as described CONS: - This is a HOLLOW base. It's not a solid piece of aluminum like I expected. It's…

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Weight

After replacing my old plastic chair frame, the chair rolls easier. Especially when changing direction when the wheels have to turn. To be fair the plastic base of the chair I replaced is around 15-20 years old. This loosened the channels for the wheel stems and thereby tilted some of the wheels off-centre. This problem was exacerbated when I switched to inline skate style polyurethane wheels. All of these problems went away when I replaced the base. A replacement was necessary because one of…
