Save your money - craft supplies

Didn't notice shortness when ordering, they are poorly sharpened or sharpened. I thought it was my first pair, I was wrong.

    Scissors for fine details

Ideal for fine detail work such as trimming the thread ends when quilting. Sharp, precise and particularly handy thanks to the spring action that opens it. Less fatigue on my sometimes arthritic fingers when I have to cut a lot. The curved blade shape is ideal for the closest possible contact with the cutting cloth.

    Pros
    • Looks good
    Cons
    • Too blunt

    Don't waste money.

They are terrible right out of the box. Crunch. Skip half of the threads as they will get stuck halfway. The extra pressure may close them, but then you'll have to open them again for the next cut. All the time the noise is annoying, like nails on a board. Hope my 3 year old shears last a little longer for a real replacement.

Don't worry if you use it for drawn carving / Hardanger

I bought these for use in Hardanger projects; Cut the linen threads to make cutouts and cut out strands of perlé cotton. So a light load in any case. After a few uses (unfinished projects, I mean USES) they were already losing their edge. A few more uses and the edges at the top weren't sharp enough to continue without risking messing up my project.

    Pros
    • I keep my fists
    Cons
    • Hard to tell

    Magic scissors! for craft supplies

I call it my magic scissors! I never thought I would need scissors that couldn't put my fingers through the holes so I was skeptical. But these are MAGIC SCISSORS! If you are interested in machine embroidery and want to try applique, you NEED these scissors. Even if you don't want to apply, you NEED these scissors. I wish I had had these scissors a year ago when I was making hundreds of face masks. They are so easy to use, perfectly trimmed, work so well!

Sharp edges hurt the hand when using.

I saw someone using this pair and I immediately wanted one. I constantly have to cut the appliqué fabric as close to the seam as possible. That's almost what I need, but not quite. I'll try to find a way to change them so that the area that comes together to open the scissors doesn't cut or hurt the sensitive parts of my hand. Not sure about that. Maybe I can put surgical tubing over that area and make sure my hand doesn't get injured using it.

If you have unwanted nose hair READ MY REVIEW.

Yes. I know. We have to use the right tool for the job. And we must follow the safety rules to avoid getting hurt. I'm breaking all those rules by using these sewing scissors as a nose trimmer! The way these scissors are curved on the blades MAKES THEM THE BEST NOSE HAIR TRIMMER! DISCLAIMER: Use at your own risk. They are SHARP. BUT damn! They definitely make awesome nose hair trimmers! buy you. You will be cared for for life!

Big winner for a small price!

I wish I would have bought something like this a few years ago. Picking up scissors seems like a very simple thing, and I had no idea how much easier scissors would make my [sewing] life. I couldn't decide when I bought them, so I bought two different brands of scissors at once, thinking I might keep one in my travel bag. I am posting pictures of both. The other pair was two bucks cheaper, but as far as I know a pair of Hobby Tools is MUCH better. It's really hard to describe, but Beadalon…
