Had to abuse it to make my LG TV sit a little lower than when installed normally. Am I the only one who hates that the new LG TVs have a bracket on the bottom of the TV? At least for a few weeks. I made sure all the screws were in and tightened very well. It's a nice piece of metal and has various holes in it to make it both intentional and unintentional.

These things are amazing but they don't fit what I needed to get a VESA 200x200 TV and DOWN about two inches from the original mounting position in my RV. If it was at home or using a wall mount (instead of the Mor/ryde retractable mount I bought) it might work. This is not a hit so far. They're dam strong, well made and look great, but I couldn't get them to line up with the pre-drilled holes on my Mor/Ryde mount.

New TV, different hole pattern. You know this story or you wouldn't be reading it. Our existing mount was a custom setup. We really didn't want to bring in a general contractor for a replacement just because of hole placement issues. Husky mounts include EVERYTHING you need for any possible configuration. Life Saving. This VESA adapter allowed me to use my current TV wall mount, which was limited to TVs up to 32 inches, and expand it to accommodate much larger TVs, specifically 50 inches in my case. It didn't have the right screw size for large TVs. The size of the screw you need depends on the size of the bracket and the TV you want to mount. In my case I needed M8 screws. I had to go to the hardware store to buy a pair of M8 mounting screws that were a bit longer than the ones in this kit. Also, this kit is perfect for mounting my new Samsung MU8000 49" UHD TV with 400mm x 400mm mounting holes to an existing wall bracket that only has holes for a maximum size of 200mm x 200mm. Works well. The kit includes three different sizes of screws to attach to the TV (since there isn't just one standard size). The nuts used to attach the adapter to an existing bracket have nylon inserts to keep them from loosening. Installation isn't bad, but you'll have trouble fully tightening the adapter to make a connection before placing the TV.
