The noise filter works well.

My old filter didn't filter out the noise from my DSL modem on my desk phone. I could hear static hiss from the modem data on the voice line. It is no longer possible to use the voice line when the modem is connected. That solved the problem!

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Hard to say

Doesn't seem to matter

I replaced the existing filters thinking my DSL was the problem but they didn't help either. The DSL provider says it's not their system, so it must be a wiring problem in my house. Moved a new single cable from the box to my router and it's still losing the signal.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Glad I bought

I had no idea in-line filters could fail. I only bought them because the phone company recommended them to me, but I never thought this would solve a problem with my phones. Before I applied the line filters, my phone was so loud I could barely hear what was being said. I'm glad I bought.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Great price

Not for 2 line DSL: Splitter

I bought this by reading reviews but it's only good if you have 1 line for your DSL which requires 2 pins. I have a dual line with 4 pins. When I use them my speed drops by half so it doesn't work for me. So that I know Not good for most DSL users as most of them get good speed over two lines.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Blank

Not the same as in the photo, it's bigger.

The two specimens sent to me are larger than what is pictured online. It works but the writing is on the bottom so you have to flip it over to put the cables in the correct slot and then flip it back over. Only one connected, works perfectly. I didn't find any change in the sound or speed increase or anything else, I just wanted a newer shard filter.

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Quality

DSL speed drops by 1/3; Phone sounds good

We have a working phone line in our house so I installed this DSL splitter/noise filter to keep the voice line parallel to our DSL. The good news is that the noise filter works and the phone line sounds clear and good. The bad news, as some other reviews have reported, is that this slows down our DSL significantly when installed. Yes, it's usually variable, but whatever number comes from speedtest.net when it's set, it's about 2/3 of the value when it's removed. The physics of the matter is…

AT&T DSL broadband connection restored

Tried a lot before to restore a DSL connection that was working for 5 years and suddenly crashed. New router (same model), new cables, surge protector, no surge protector, different laptops, different ROKU box. I considered passing IP through using another router in front of the AT&T router (don't ask me how to do that because I ended up not having to). Then I noticed that the only thing I hadn't changed was the DSL filter/splitter that connects the broadband cable on one side and the phone…

  • Lots of positive emotions

  • No performance

Fixed DSL tariff and disconnections

I never realized how important a DSL filter is until we bought this one. Before installing this DSL filter, our internet speeds had dropped to about a third of what we paid for and we suffered from random internet outages several times a day. Additionally, the internet could not be used while using a landline phone, meaning that whenever the phone rang, the internet had to be turned off to prevent static electricity from getting onto the phone line. After installing one of these filters on a…

Expectations were high but nothing good

Okay first of all these devices didn't look like the picture on the internet. There must be an accurate description of what you receive and it must be what is shown. Now the other aspect is that these devices actually made my line noise worse. I have a lot of electronics hooked up to the data cabinet so I was really hoping this would reduce the noise a bit. I had an old DSL filter from my old Verizon setup that I wasn't using. The worst noise was on my Polycom, so I started using a filter on…
