This sewing machine is amazing. I can sew multiple layers of fabric and it works like a workhorse. I use Janome brand presser feet but have been buying Distinctive brand presser feet for a number of years which are cheaper but just as well made as the Janome brand presser feet. As far as thread goes, I only use Gutermann thread on this machine and would advise you to invest in quality threads as well.
