I like that the bears are bigger, they fit perfectly in honeydukes and are great for practicing counting and sorting. The tweezers that came with the kit are too narrow to really grab bears, but after some cooking and stretching, they now work well in my 2.5 year old daughter's hands.

Unfortunately I didn't get the yellow pot and bears. I received two green/bear pots in a box and didn't notice the yellow one and didn't notice it until I opened the other pots so I can't return it. A little upset about that. I'm just glad I bought it for my own use and didn't gift it to someone. Otherwise the product is good.

One of the best math purchases I've made for my class this year. Develops fine motor skills by taking the tongs and using them to sort by colour, shape and quantity. The plastic "pots" are made of durable plastic and can be used up to 4-5 times a day for 2 months! Kids love to play with them and they are perfect for preschoolers.

Pros: My 2 year old daughter loves to count and sort them. She quickly learns to put them together and form chains. They are made of rubber so they are easy to hold. The tweezers are large enough to hold and easy to carry, but small enough for little hands and structured for easy handling. Cons: Styrofoam bones and still hold up, but I have a feeling they won't last long. My kid throws handfuls of these around the room at random and yells WHEE! They fly well, but are not easy to catch.

Decided to write a review because there weren't any others. The bears are hardy and all have a different belly shape, so there are several ways you can learn from using these bears. Some flowers had more than 10 bears. The little jars are cute but it would be hard to pull the bear out if you had huge hands lol. However, a set of straps is included. Our dice are missing two colored dots, one of the honey pots has an upside down triangle, some dice and some bears arrived with scratches/smudges. I definitely wouldn't pay close to $20 for it again. I noticed imperfections AFTER I threw away the packaging so I'm stuck and can't buy another set. Hours of pleasure in the first few days. My 22 month old is in the "color sorting” phase and just loves dropping and sorting bears. He's still working on using tweezers to pick them up, so I know that if you work on this skill, as well as keep sorting by shape and playing with dice, this toy will last a long time! I bought these for my 4 year old to keep me busy while I teach my other child. The bears are cute, strong and of good color. Small plastic glasses are fine. I appreciate belly and cup shapes so this was just another integrated activity. I ended up making a coloring book with different color patterns and such for my kid to use the bears. I think I misread the description thinking it comes with an action book. By "workbook" they mean a folded piece of paper with a list of things to do with bears.

There are many counting bear sets out there, but this one caught my eye for a number of reasons. Love the little honey pots and the added bonus of being able to sort by shape.
