Replacement drive in poor condition with scratches everywhere. After switching to PS3, the discs were not found to pull into the system. Defect from place 1 and waste of time and money. Installing the actuator will void the warranty but the link to proper installation will no longer exist. Not to mention the drive itself had several broken screw housings and was missing a screw holding the drive. together.

Does what it's supposed to do except there is a defect that prevents it from sitting perfectly near the disc insertion area. (Black plastic where it sits on tiny pins).

Used in PS3 3001 series. Reads DVDs but not Blue Ray/games. He read the blue rays for about twenty minutes and then started playing. I will check all my connections and update later. My system is used primarily for my son's movies, not gaming, so I'm glad it's working reasonably well for now.

Like new stopped working within the first hour. The system stutters and freezes. it worked fine for about 45 minutes. then it started making noises like the new record had a scratch. It seems to last a little longer in less demanding games.
