Does the job!: Bluetooth headsets

I'm not ruling out a Bluetooth system that will amaze me with the sound quality. I take long trips across states every summer and was just looking for something easy to listen to music without spending a lot of money. Installation went great! The only thing I don't think this system is capable of is skipping new songs, which is quite a shame, but that doesn't stop me from buying it again. In terms of sound quality, it's GREAT at around 80km/h or below. 65-80 mph on the freeway isn't as crisp…

LEXIN 1pc LX-B4FM motorcycle intercom, a good alternative.

Would have given 5 stars but connection to my android phone is a bit moody although connection is normal afterwards. I didn't use it for helmet-to-helmet communication, just to connect to my phone for music and navigation directions, sometimes on the bike and sometimes in my bag in bad weather. Have made several phone calls with it and the caller always says the sound quality is good, even when driving at around 30 km/h. The helmet mounted internal speakers fit perfectly and sound great even…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Good quality. Loudspeakers make you want more

So the thing is actually pretty cool. Considering what everyone else is saying, the speakers leave a lot to be desired. No bass, they have a very cheap high treble sound. But they're not exactly terrible. I also added things to my helmet to keep the noise down. I added a neck curtain and styrofoam around the face shield. I ride a Harley Dyna 08 with a short TBR pipe. So she's loud. But on the way to work today at 100 km/h, I can hear my podcast perfectly. The volume is set to maximum but I can…

I tried it out of the box, but had problems.

First, the base unit itself more or less does its job. However, the included speakers have poor sound quality with very limited volume, not loud enough to drown out road noise, let alone the roar of the engine. To make matters worse, the connector is so poorly designed that it won't make solid contact or latch, regardless of the instructions that come with it. states that the connector must be fully inserted. I have no doubt this will add bad sound/pops and pops. I made sure the device works…

Lexin LX-B4FM Motorcycle Intercom

The most important thing to me about any purchase is that it does exactly what it was designed to do. As it stands (have only been using this product for a week) this product does exactly what it says on the tin. I don't ask for more or less. Sounds good and clear. I didn't use it as an intercom and didn't answer a call. I heard music. Further advantages are simple functionality and ease of installation. I hate it when a product claims to be easy to install and then makes you feel like an idiot

Average product at an average price

After 2 days of intensive driving I found the following: Product: overall looks smart and is good value. Sound quality: no bass or mids. high altitudes. Sounds like a cheap quality radio with no frills. Not even close to the $20 headphones you buy at Walmart or Target. Do you understand. Noise Reduction: Tested -1 in multiple areas. Incoming calls - almost nothing can be heard, at best a muffled voice. Stopped 4 times and changed the position of the speakers - nothing changed. Even with ceramic

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • boring packaging

Not bad for the money, but not perfect

This is a solid device at an unbeatable price, but it does have a few downsides. . We checked the range for a mile and could hear each other loud and clear. The tone and volume are top notch, I've never had to turn the volume up past the mid-range when cruising my Harley down the freeway with a non-original exhaust. If you were expecting big bass from dual tweeters you'll be disappointed, but overall the sound is clear and on par. Connecting to my phone or other headsets is very easy. Battery…

Good entry level but may be challenging for some riders.

Overall this device works well. Communication is pretty good with a really decent range, especially when you're in sight of other drivers. The battery life is also excellent and you can work for hours without having to worry about anything. This is a great device if you only want to chat with one person, but it gets a little annoying when you're trying to connect to more than one (more on that later). The number of mounting accessories is nice too, with the ability to mount a variety of helmet…

Full helmet and still barely audible at highway speeds

With a full helmet (Bell Qualifier DLX) I can hear reasonably clearly below 40mph, but beyond that the speakers just aren't good enough. I tucked the backs of the speakers into the helmet's integrated headphone pockets to move them closer to my ears, but that doesn't really help. I was on the phone with someone at 60mph and they said they couldn't even hear the wind around me, which is good, but I just couldn't hear them very well - so the mic and noise-cancellation seem to be good (again with…
