Makes space and flight simulations much more enjoyable.

I've played Elite: Dangerous with it and it has greatly increased my enjoyment. And with virtual reality, it feels like actually piloting a spaceship. The only downside is that the user control configurator is pretty outdated, but most games have their own presets that seem to work fine. It's not big enough to cost him a star.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Reliable HOTAS at a great price

HOTAS isn't for beginners, but it's not the best either. A reliable device for the price. I haven't had any problems with mine. The ergonomics are among the best and the throttle is particularly comfortable. Only the protected fire button on the stick is particularly poorly planned. It's almost impossible to use in the heat of battle. Although it might be useful for someone.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Unsafe

The? No instructions or manuals?

Because this product is in such high demand and cannot be found anywhere, no information, keybinds or software is included. Two controllers in one box. For 200.00? There isn't even a basic MS Flight Sim 10 manual. My son set it up for me and I couldn't figure out how to release the brake on the plane I was flying in. Good controllers, well-lit but fuzzy instructions

Pros
  • Very Good Price
Cons
  • Factor Set

Good but with some limitations

This is a good joystick and throttle but with limitations. I would like to give him 5 satraps, but there were some issues that luckily have been fixed. Problem #1) The joystick tension is too loose for me and there is no way to adjust the tension. I fixed it by clipping the zip tie over the spring. Problem #2) After about an hour the joystick got stuck and felt like it was rubbing something. Turns out all he needed was some lube, and rubbing the lip balm along the barrel solved that problem…

If you like flight simulators, you won't like this!

I bought the joystick in 1998 when Falcon 4.0 came out, so far it is at least 20 times better than this HOTAS. This hot ran about 1 hour before the y-axis failed. After 11 hours of junk cleaning installed by Logitech, I was able to use the MS flight calibration with a reverse shake combo to get it back. The accuracy and stability of the main joystick is just terrible. The throttle is turned off very often (10-15 times in 2 hours). The throttle rises and falls magically, making every flight more

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • Good but not great

Cheap construction and joystick easily snags

So the description of this device boasts that it has a partial metal construction. Apparently, only the aluminum plates on the foot are meant, which apparently are mainly used for aesthetic purposes. Both the joystick and throttle are plastic, but it feels like cheap and lightweight plastic. The double spring that they say increases resistance when you pull it back doesn't. I didn't feel any difference in resistance depending on how far I pulled the joystick, and if anything, it felt soft. To…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Clarity

Garbage, complete garbage.

I bought the X52 years ago when Saitek still owned the product. Even then, it was poorly made junk that wore out too quickly. Since I wanted to play IL2 I decided to spend some money on a new stick. With few options available, I gritted my teeth and grabbed the X52 Pro, hoping that switching to Logitech would improve quality. no When delivered, the throttle is connected and works perfectly. However, the stick turns on fully, but does not respond. I did notice that the PS2 connector was…

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Out of style

The good, the bad, and the ugly Logitech

If you are interested in installing HOTAS I will definitely try to find others. Logitech has usually been a decent choice for me, although they do have their fair share of stinkers. The good thing about the X52 is that it looks very good. The bad news is that the stick wobbles quite a lot and I had to adjust the deadzone so that it doesn't register the wobble. In addition, the handle does not move very easily, which is most likely due to the fact that the metal spring plate is not smooth…

Pros
  • Multifunction LCD gives you even more control over your navigation in Flight Simulator X by directly controlling the simulator's radio panel functionality.
Cons
  • little things

I bought mine used and I love the <Elite Dangerous Player> sync!

I'm playing Elite Dangerous and it syncs! You don't have to mess with the microprocessors in the supporting Logitech software. I'm not sure how it works on other flight sims but it's designed for space travel and Elite Dangerous is one of the best and I'm happy with it! I thought I'd spend some time binding keys to controls, but Elite Dangerous registered it all! Love it, I bought mine used, just missing a knob with a chime at the base of the throttle. It may be stiff at first but it loosens up

Pros
  • 3D Twist with rudder lock required to control simulation. For those who already have rudder pedals, you can lock the axle to prevent accidental activation.
Cons
  • Not the best
