I bought my SP1 amp in 2013 after seeing a review on LinusTechTips. The speaker still works and the battery lasts about 2 weeks. I mainly use it as a speaker in the bathroom when showering, but also when I need a speaker on the go :)

I was expecting something tolerable having been burned by similar products in the past. The amp impressed me with the richness of the tone and, my god, the loud volume. I am very, very happy with this little speaker. It's worth every penny I paid for this gadget. You will be satisfied when you decide to buy it.

Big size, battery life and stylish design. I just wish it was louder. We took him on a week-long bike ride. It was such a pleasure putting together a playlist and this little guy kept us motivated. However, if there's a lot of intelligence, or you're driving fairly fast, you won't hear it. Works great if you're boating or just need something for a picnic.

I've had the black SP1 for a few months now and I LOVE it! The quality exceeded all my expectations for the price. I use it when I go camping and when I cook in the kitchen. This morning I decided to transport him in my car and see how he behaves. Surprisingly, the sound quality is better than the stock radio. I immediately decided to buy another one as a Christmas present for my father. I hope he likes it.

As I own a similar sized competitor (Jambox) I have a comparison tool. The sound quality is bad. The volume buttons need to be pressed for a few seconds for significant changes to occur. Charging (via the computer's USB port) is a pain. And when I got a call from this thing, I couldn't answer (so the call got lost). Suffice to say I passed it on to my son and got my jambox back.

The sound quality of the device is mediocre. It's better to use it as an external speaker, not a speaker for music. I gave this to my husband so he can listen to talk radio at night. Well he's upset because bluetooth just went down in the middle of the night and he couldn't connect last night! He's a techie, so it's not like he doesn't know what he's doing. It toggled everything on and off etc. but it still didn't work. I would return it as it was expensive but only have a 30 day return policy!

I've been using this speaker for 7 months. Perfect. The price was very reasonable, it's compact, with a rubber grip it's easy to hold and carry, it looks good, has a long battery life and sounds fantastic for its size. Bass and drums are easy to hear. Unfortunately, you won't feel any droning due to the small size of the speakers. The sound quality is clear with no harshness or distortion. I was hoping to solve two problems with this device and it solved one and a half of them. First, I use my smartphone for work and most of my calls require me to take notes on my laptop, making it uncomfortable to hold the phone to my ear. So I usually use the speakerphone option; but there are difficulties with it. My Samsung SGIII can handle many tricks, but its speaker is hoarse and some voices are unintelligible.
