happy with this unit

Magnavox MWR20V6 DVD/VCR combo. I already have one of these refurbished units, I bought them at a bargain price before they closed in our city. I'm so glad I found another one because it's not digital so I don't have to turn it on to check it out. TV and you can still tune to channel 3 or 4 (NTSC tuner) and not have to change your TV's input (which annoys me if you want to use it). It's an old device (2006) so it has a coaxial cable connector on the back. These types of devices are rare theseโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Very expensive

Good VCR/DVD recorder

So far I am very happy with this recorder. This is my second. The first time I had problems with the VCR although the DVD recorder still works. Anyway, when I had to buy another VCR, it was impossible to find a cheap one with a built-in tuner on the market. All with tuners cost over $250. I'm of the age where you could buy a VCR and DVD player with a built in tuner for $90, but now that I see VCRs (which require a monthly fee) the prices of VCRs and DVDs with a built in tuner have come downโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Excellent overall quality
Cons
  • Doubtful

Mister. DUMMI

COMPLETE WASTE! THE PHONE BOOK IS THICK, COPIED FROM XEROX, THE USER MANUAL IS DIFFICULT TO FOLLOW OR UNDERSTAND. REREADING AND REREADING NEVER LEADS TO A CLEAR UNDERSTANDING HOW IT WORKS, THERE IS NOTHING EASY TO RECORD/DUPLICATE. EVEN MY COLLEGE STUDENT SON (YES - "ROCKET SCIENTIST" FROM MIT) DID NOT UNDERSTAND HOW TO USE THIS MACHINE. ONLY AFTER HOURS AND HOURS OR "TRIAL AND ERRORS" BETWEEN THE TWO OF US WE FINALLY DECIDED HOW TO TRANSFER MY OLD VHS TAPE TO DVD. TO STATE THAT THE MACHINE HAS

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
