It works very well! But the fit and finish is a bit sloppy.

The eGPU case does its job, and does it well! There is nothing to complain about in terms of functionality - everything is great! A few points of caution: The PSU fan produces an intermittent fan hum. He comes and goes. I can't say if this is a defect or normal operation. You also have to be careful when handling the case itself. Some of the edges and corners on the bottom of the aluminum are not ground and are very sharp, they cut my pinky and made me bleed. I felt a slippery cut but didn't…

Why aren't there more cases with USB and Ethernet?

I am completely baffled that anyone would try to make an eGPU case without at least four USB 3.0 ports. Part of the idea is that I can leave my laptop on my desk and plug in a single cable to get peripherals, power, an external display, a dedicated Ethernet connection, and in this case, extra graphics power. However, many of them lack USB, and those that do tend to lack Ethernet. It makes no sense to me not to include $10 worth of additional hardware in your design. In any case, luckily the…

It could be so great, but it's not here yet

UPDATE: I have contacted the company several times in different ways and have not received any response from them. Right now I'm not going to risk them being needed for anything after the 30 day window and then not responding, so that's coming back. I ordered this unit and the Sonnet 750ex after getting tired of dealing with driver issues and intermittent crashes with another eGPU I've had for a while. These two units were obviously better than the other. Sonnet's sealed case design meant my…

The eGPU housing looks very nice and of high quality. I chose Space Gray and it fits my 13" MacBook Pro perfectly! There is (barely) enough internal storage for my ASUS ROG RX 580 8GB GPU, which is physically the largest GPU I've ever worked with Requires power for the card and performs well even under heavy loads The USB ports are also a nice addition to the package and it really is the best solution for a MacBook dock Minus 1 star because of the included Thunderbolt 3 cable Different In this…

PSU died after a year

EDIT: (28/08/2021) Well the PSU died a little over a year later. I could replace it. To be honest I should have replaced it much sooner - the stock fan is pretty loud. I bought this eGPU for my XPS 15 and it has an RX 580 in it. Overall I think it has made life a lot easier - one cable powers my laptop with keyboard/mouse/network/external display and makes switching between multiple very easy laptops. It's a bit ironic that the graphics card is cheaper than the case and I think I overpaid for…

Great eGPU for MacBook

Works great with my 2017 MacBook Pro 15 with High Sierra. I love the extra USB ports and Ethernet port this eGPU offers. Very durable construction with excellent material color matched to my MacBook Space Gray. I love the fact that this eGPU can charge my MacBook. The included Thunderbolt 3 cable is very short (I think a foot and a half long). My setup requires me to purchase another 6 foot Thunderbolt 3 cable, which costs an additional $50 at the time of writing this review. The supplied fan…

Weak components make the out-of-warranty experience poor.

Nice eGPU with good features, Ethernet, lots of USB and SATA. Used as a docking station for Windows 10, Dell XPS 15 and Lenovo Yoga X1 laptops. GPU - RX580. The first experiences with Thunderbolt drivers in early 2018 were a bit bumpy. After 9 months it seemed to be working reliably. In recent months, the problems with eGPU detection have increased. The power supply died after 15 months. Surprising given that the RX580 and other components draw only 350W while the FSP PSU (the "budget"…

Do not buy from this brand.

I thought it was a good product for the price. The main reason I bought this product over others was the large number of USB ports, SSD port and LAN port. However, one of the USB ports is defective and customer service not only refuses to replace the defective part with valid reasons, but also takes 48 hours to 2 WEEKS to respond to an email. You are better off spending more money on a more reputable brand with better quality control and better customer service. Product issues: 1. The front top

Lots of technical issues

To be honest I don't think the Thunderbolt/EGPU technology is really where it should be and it certainly has some nuances and oddities, but I have a working setup now with another product and I don't have the same problems as with this one. I had problems with this product from the start. The case design is interesting and good in a way (looks cool, side panel is easy to remove), but you have to put the graphics card on the side right away. Because of the way the graphics card is inserted into…

Looks great, but fan noise is annoying

I bought this eGPU model hoping for quiet operation: a supposedly quiet case fan and a PSU fan that only runs when needed. However, I was disappointed to immediately notice that the case fan, which always runs while you're using the computer (I have a 2019 16-inch MacBook Pro), isn't that quiet. 120mm 4pin PWM fan that fits perfectly so I thought the problem was solved right?! The replacement fan I installed is definitely quieter than the stock fan, although perhaps not as quiet as the Be Quiet
