Item came as expected and as described. I have .

Item came as expected and as described. I haven't installed it yet and will update this review when I do. **Update** was installed more than 30 days ago. Fits perfectly and looks great on the truck. I am particularly impressed by the camera image, especially at night. I recently went camping and returned to camp at night and with just the backlight on I could see up to about 10 feet or so well. I definitely recommend it.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Faulty

Great rear view camera, easy install

Easy crate to truck install. The grip looks like a Toyota OEM part that I replaced, the movement and material is great. The cable was long enough to go from the door to the engine bay to the firewall and easily connected to my stereo. I have a 2008 Tacoma 4 door long bed. The camera quality is excellent, day and night (even in the rain). My only issue (and it's a minor issue) is that the recommendations only appear for a few seconds and then disappear. I want the guidelines to remain simple.

  • Great price

Great shutter, great camera

This is a great solution for adding a backup camera to an OEM look Tacoma. The latch is easy to install and the camera offers a clear, wide-angle rear view. You'll need to drill a hole in the tailgate to route the wiring, but if you're willing to do that, it's a great addition. Mine easily connects to an aftermarket head unit (Sony XAV-AX100) and makes backups much safer. I connected a camera to the reversing lights so there is only one camera when the truck is reversing. Great reversing camera. Can't beat the price.

I've already broken the bank with a stereo I installed at Best Buy (Kenwood DMX7706s) and really didn't want to pay another $200 for an OEM style, but I also didn't want to buy one cheap, that would sit on the bumper or on the license plate. This brand was definitely the right choice. The latch looks great despite being fairly well hidden and the picture looks even better. Of all the reviews I've seen of the less expensive/similar models, this one had the most compelling track record and didn't

Fits a 2007 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab

The handle inserts very easily. The only thing I had trouble with was widening the drain hole on the underside of the tailgate, which I had to run the cables through. I've attached a photo here, but as you can see the gap I created is messy. I used a dremel with a small grinder to cut a larger hole in the tailgate. To power the camera, I connected the red wire from the camera to the backup light wire (red/white wire on Tacoma). The purple tape in my photos shows you the route I took with theโ€ฆ

Tacoma Rear View Camera

First of all, this product looks great. No one noticed, it was on my 2007 Tacoma and that's it! I wanted something that looks OEM and gives you a higher viewing angle than the ones with the license plate. This camera definitely fits. The only issue I personally had was that the power cord didn't run with the video cord, so I could keep it on all the time (without breaking the deal). The power cable is separate and shorter, so you only need to connect it to the taillight backup power supplyโ€ฆ

  • Hands Free

  • Very Expensive

Fits my Tacoma

I bought this backup camera for a 2011 Tacoma with no camera. I wanted something that would keep the factory look and be just right. I also replaced the factory radio with a new Kenwood receiver with rear view camera function. I've installed car stereos many times, so I'm good with wiring. Hooking up this camera can be a daunting task for someone with no experience, but it was pretty easy. I connected the camera to the passenger side reverse light and connected the ground to the screw that goes

Blue screen. I couldn't connect it to Tacoma 2013 ProRunner Mirrored Display

Hello! I couldn't connect it to an existing mirror and cable in my Tacoma 2013 ProRunner 4-dr pickup. The truck has existing wiring (3rd photo) and I can't get the system to work. I've read some comments on the web and it seems that the problem is that the mirror only sends 6V to the rear camera and the camera needs 12V to work. To solve this I tried turning the camera connect directly to the rear camera. a light that is 12V and connects the VCR signal directly to the sockets/pins on the backโ€ฆ

  • Constant test results

  • Could have chosen a newer model

Total Bummer is the best in vehicle safety

Can't give 1/2 stars? I installed this product on my 2007 Toyota Tacoma. The product was easy to remove with the original cap. For me personally, this is the end. Product/Accessories - The kit includes a latch/camera connected to a wire harness (camera/video stream) that leads to a quick connect connector. There is another much longer cable with a quick connect that extends the RCA to the CD receiver. Current flows through the built-in fuse and ground wire. To install, you need to tie the power
