Looks good on Amazon

Looks good on Amazon but this pack didn't work for me. The material and webbing were chewy and crispy. the possibility of attaching a sweater or a thin jacket with the Y-strap at the front. I ended up buying a Condor Elite and gave the package to a friend of mine. He loves it and says it's perfect for what he needs.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Factor set

Not much of an improvement over Falcon II

Like most Maxpedition owners, I have many things from them. I have carried a Falcon II as hand luggage in many countries for 8 years. The calculation has changed a bit with the introduction of discount airlines like Spirit, who now charge carry-on baggage fees. The Falcon II is small enough to be sneaked around as a free personal item. The Falcon III doesn't have a zippered pocket for a hydration bladder or a hole for a hose. I don't know how long the outdated series will be in stock, but 8…

  • Absolutely Amazing!

Ideal for two laptops and business trips

I bought this backpack because I needed something more solid for travel. Since the back of the backpack opens up, I can easily use it to carry two laptops through TSA. There is also plenty of space for all important work utensils and if I want, I can even store a change of clothes/jacket. Since I have to lug around so much stuff for work, I was looking for a backpack that would sit snugly on my hips, as opposed to the business-friendly ones that offer less support. So far I've gotten it through

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Not sure

Solid EDC, medium size, not bulky.

Favorite packaging. I've been a fan of the Falcon series for many years. Never regretted this show. I made the jump from ll to lll. For me it is everyday packaging. I work at the university and I have everything I need with me including binders, lunches and more. Everything was close by but it took longer to pack to zip everything. ll is not an overwhelming pack but is a medium jump compared to ll. The quality of Maxpeditions is exceptional. I wish there was a mesh cargo pocket in the small top

Great backpack, very sturdy and roomy.

This great bag is very durable, secure and has a lot of space. I love that it has lots of straps to squeeze the compartments together and keep them secure. If you're not using all the space in the pouch, it compresses really well so it's not just a big, flexible, bulky mush. Pros: Very strong, roomy and durable. Various compartments allow you to organize. MOLLE allows you to add extra pockets on the outside. The hidden gun compartment has a soft velcro closure so you can store other MAXEDITION…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

Worth every penny – hiking daypacks

I am a regular Maxpedition customer. I wore the Falcon II every day for almost four years, stuffed. I needed to increase the size compared to the Falcon II and chose the Falcon III as I already liked the design. This gives me enough extra capacity not to overload my EDC gear. I prefer the design of the new zippers. I liked the separate bag for the Falcon II Zippered Hydrator for CCW. But the same can be done with the middle compartment of this backpack. One addition I really like is the chest…

Pros
  • Certified

  • Slightly torn

Heavy loads fit easily and the bag can be filled to capacity.

General Summary: The Falcon III backpack is exceptionally well constructed using quality zippers, buckles and materials. Heavy loads fit easily and the bag can be filled to capacity without fear of "blow out" or failure of zippers, stitching or other hardware. The design is well thought out including the placement and application of compression straps that provide excellent compression and load control. In addition, when not fully loaded, the backpack can be compressed to a very thin profile…

Pros
  • Beautifully packaged
Cons
  • Can't remember
