Warm, stretchy, and good breathability

Having owning various weight of base layer all made from polyester to polyester/fleece blend, it is always hard to decide the trade-off between warmth, performance, and breathability. Finally decided to go with 100% merino wool and no more compromise. These are listed as 260g and indeed it is thick. The top is as warm as my Duofold mid-weight fleet lined shirt yet three times stretchier, most importantly, much more breathable. It makes a world of difference in the three layers system. I was able

Pros
  • I really liked the comfort in a wide range of temperatures. It gives confidence when exploring outdoors.
Cons
  • A large hole formed in the pants after wearing them twice.

You need these! good for me

I’m obsessed with my merino long johns.I’d heard wool was the way to go, but always used polypropylene base layers or even pajamas to get me through the winters in Minnesota. These feel so good that I had to buy additional sets. I wear em when my work as an electrical contractor takes me out in the elements, and I wear them lounging around the house on weekends.Even though my wife made fun of me, I bought her a pair for Valentines. Now she’s obsessed too.

Pros
  • Warm ok for China
Cons
  • Not warm

Great for skiing, highly recommend

I bought this 260 gram set for a ski trip to Beavercreek Colorado and they performed flawlessly. I wore only this set beneath Columbia bugaboo ski pants and a Columbia interchange ski jacket, and I did not get cold while skiing or riding to lift in single digit temperatures and snowing. I ordered a medium top & bottom, I’m 5’7”, 175, medium build. The fit is athletic but not tight, the merino wool is not itchy, and is semi-stretchy

Pros
  • Very comfortable, very warm. They even included a pair a wool socks. Love the base layer very much!
Cons
  • May require special washing instructions

Great Merino Wool Set!

Purchased two pair of these sets for elk hunting in Colorado this year. Fit is great and warmth is as expected for a 220 weight. Wore each pair for 4 days. Merino wool is great and conceals any odor and dries quickly if it gets wet or sweaty. Very happy with my purchase, and for the price it is hard to beat! Note: there is no fly cut into the bottoms. Sizing: I am 6’1, 190 pounds, 35 inch waist, and 35 inch arm length; I ordered size XL and they fit great!

Pros
  • Designed specifically for men, with a comfortable and flattering fit
Cons
  • May not be effective at wicking moisture away from the body

High Quality Item good for me

This product is very comfortable and fits very well. It arrived ahead of schedule and also came with a gift! Definitely recommend this company

Pros
  • Excellent set that kept me warm even during some very cold nights in Alaska. Highly recommend.
Cons
  • Warmer than I thought that they would be, but also significantly itchier too

Good baselayer. for my opinion

Great base layer. I'd call it medium weight in new England. Maybe on the lighter side. That's for sitting in a tree stand. I'm running this and a pair of breathable tech pants to my spots and a bib when I get in the tree. Great.

Pros
  • Soft and comfortable and doesn’t stick to your skin
Cons
  • Not suitable for people who are always on the move

Disappointed on my review.

2 XL. Top is a little large but the the bottoms are to small, wish the bottoms would have been larger because the top really keeps me toasty.

Pros
  • Liked
Cons
  • May cause static cling after washing

good quality. good for me

I like the quality ,the way it fits, and it's true to the size label.I dislike that the top has no thumb holesfor better comfort and larying in cold weather.

Pros
  • Retains its shape and fit, even after multiple washes and uses
Cons
  • Limited sizing options

Very Warm and Snug on my review.

I fcking HATE being cold, so in the winter I stay ensconced in merino whether I'm doing outdoor activities or just day to day stuff. I managed to snag my first set of these at just over $60, an absolute steal. These aren't the fanciest merino clothing, but they are quality, so even at $90 you're getting a set for less than a lot of other companies sell for just one piece. Also, check the other companies' merino's weight. a lot of them are much lighter weight.

Pros
  • Bottoms
Cons
  • May cause skin irritation due to friction

Great purchase! good for me

I like how warm they are and feel great against my skin. I wore them everyday for a week without washing them and they still didn’t smell. I wear them to work and hunting. My only gripe is I wish they were a solid color.

Pros
  • Love this product line
Cons
  • May lose shape after several washes

Soft, warm, and comfortable, wet or dry.

I am a commercial fisherman in New England, these are excellent for keeping warm during the cold wet winters, even when they get wet. Great base layer, they are soft and comfortable to work in and dry quickly.

Pros
  • Very comfortable and great to wear for motorcycle riding.
Cons
  • Not worth the money

I'll be a lifelong customer.

Man I got this base layer and I'm so impressed. The attention to detail with all the packaging and stitching is great. It fits me perfect. I got a size large and I'm 5'4 180 lbs muscular build. I will be purchasing this brand for my lady and my kids. And they even sent me an extra pair of socks and a little gift !

Pros
  • Extremely soft and warm. My husband loved them!
Cons
  • Not suitable for activities that involve water immersion

Wow, I'm pretty surprised!

I'd love to post a picture wearing these, but my wife said that'd be inappropriate. Needless to say, I'm a huge fan. I live in the southwest, and although some may think it doesn't get cold, the dry weather with the biting wind is much colder than any of my time spent in the upper midwest or the northeast. Its a bit of an "unrecoverable" cold where it's hard to thaw out. That being said, these were awesome. I got the Argyle 250g, and I must say, they really helped me get and stay warm. I also…

Pros
  • Provides exceptional value and performance for an unbeatable price
Cons
  • May not be effective at reducing sweat odor during physical activity

Merino wool actually works

Merino wool does actually help keep you warm on cold mornings. For years I had used regular cotton base layers and sweated in them and got cold after a couple hours. This stuff is breathable, warm, and odorless. Definitely recommend.

Pros
  • Perfect
Cons
  • May require special care during storage to prevent damage

Great PJs! in my review

I bought this base layer set to wear as pajamas in the winter. I typically where a woman's large and went with the men's XL because I like my pajamas to be baggy. Overall I like the fit. The shirt fits perfect, the pants are a bit more snug than I expected. The fabric has a nice amount of stretch. They are super comfortable and warm. Plus they came with a free pair of socks, can't beat that! Definitely recommend!

Pros
  • Provides excellent insulation without adding bulk, making it easy to move around in
Cons
  • May require regular maintenance to retain quality

Great merino wool set!

Purchased two pair of these sets for my college students this holiday season. Fit is great and warmth is as expected. Not thick but keeps you warm and cozy. Very happy with my purchase especially it comes with a pair of great merino wool socks as a bonus gift.Thank you Naturwool. Definitely will buy more!

Pros
  • light weight but extremely warm and comfortable. Very well made.
Cons
  • Does not offer a lot of stretch

Good to Go on my review.

Top fit as expected, not too loose and not to tight. Bottoms were sightly snug trough the tighs, but that should resolve itself over time. Wife liked them and we ordered two (2) 1/2 zip for her, one (1) in black and one (1) patterned. They look great, can't wait until she gets them.plus the free pair of awesome socks. Customer service is also top shelf.Peter is great. Thanks for a quality product.

Pros
  • Versatile enough to be worn as both a base layer and a standalone top or bottom
Cons
  • May cause excessive perspiration in warmer climates

Great deal for these

I have Marino wool items that I paid more for, these are just as soft, if not a hair softer. Marino wool in general has a tiny itchy feeling, much less than standard wool, but it is there nonetheless. Don't expect these to be a smooth as synthetics, you will be disappointed. I have gotten used to the feeling. Pretty cool, they included a free pair of wool socks with the order, very nice touch. I'm very pleased with my purchase and will most likely buy another pair, perhaps the lighter material…

Pros
  • Easy to care for and machine washable for added convenience
Cons
  • May not be durable enough to last for several seasons

Softer than expected, held up in wash

The top fits a tiny bit big but the bottoms are perfect. My husband likes things to have a little more room and not fit against the skin. At first he said they felt itchy but after he actually tried them on he liked them. I bought these for his long motorcycle ride to Georgia when it was going to be snowing and they’ve kept him warm on several rides. They came out of the washing machine the same size. I don’t think they shrank. I dried them on my drying rack and they are still fine. Not any…

Pros
  • Odor-resistant properties reduce the need for frequent washing
Cons
  • May not be suitable for people with an active lifestyle
