Mil-Tec Military Army Patrol Pack vs REEBOW GEAR Military Tactical Backpack

Both Mil-tec and Reebow are decent quality backpacks. After all, these would be good bags for the home, but small for bug bags. The advantage of the Reebow is that it also has a sternum strap, which keeps the pack tighter to the pack and improves the center of gravity. Both packs could be improved with a larger, padded hip belt. I decided to use these two bags for shorter adventures and ended up with a 40L inner touring frame to use as a bug.

Great product for camping and hiking

Great product at this price. I've traced every stitch in this pack and can't find anything to complain about. The extension straps work great. I can't find anything to criticize. I am happy with this purchase. If I find the shoulder strap stretching I will update this review. It has a 19" x 12" x 6" main compartment. I bought this to pack my AR15 with a top that needs 18.5". This pack works fine. I have a couple of molle pouches from NCStar that match the straps exactly.

Mil-Tec made me a believer

This is the seventh or eighth Mil-Tec bag I've bought. Why so much? Because as soon as I let my girlfriend or my kids use it, they beg me to give it up. Quality and functionality are top notch. I use them for traveling and they come in handy on the Hartsfield and O'Hare death marches, they stow easily on top and are just as easy to access. You can pack a lot, and the built-in hydration bladder can do the useful job of holding your laptop for quick and easy access when dealing with the fascist…

Good quality and very well built

As good (or almost as good) as more expensive offerings from an established brand (e.g. Condor, Blackhawk, 5.11, Maxpedition) but at a higher price. reasonable price (well, I see the price has gone up from another seller). The backpack is well made, robust and sewn from very good to excellent. I thought it was the usual "Made in China" fare, but to my delight it's "Made in Germany", which I always equate with high build quality (of course there are exceptions), but sometimes at exorbitant…

Not the most comfortable bag I have ever carried

I have been using this backpack daily for over two years now. Unfortunately the price has gone up since I bought it but I would say it was worth what I paid. After two years of abuse, it's still holding up well. Some of the stitching is frayed, but I'm not too concerned about that. I remind everyone reading this review that this bag has been through a lot. I drop it quite often while carrying 15-20lbs. It is not waterproof but very durable. He walked through showers and snow and there was…

Great packaging, very durable and well made! Happy with my purchase!

I love the style of this pack. Bought my second pack; Because of the intense tactical survival training for speed and accuracy, I'm picky about my gear. My second pack is used daily as a 72 hour survival pack with daily use. Easily adjustable for secure, secure comfort, sternum straps and waist straps have never let me down, and plenty of room accommodates laptops, iPads, and other associated gear and/or accessories. I use this backpack to run 5-10 miles and I need to add my hydration, of…

I chose it for my bug bag

I wanted a backpack that was strong, comfortable and big enough to double as a bug bag. After looking around from expensive hiking backpacks to school bags, I decided the new military model was the way to go. These surplus stores have a few, but most of them either smell awful or don't have the new bag design and don't have a lot of straps and buckles. I was able to pack everything in this backpack and was amazed by its spaciousness and organization. Not sure what 50L is supposed to look like…

Pros
  • Durable finish
