Most parts were broken. so disappointed

Yes, it's glass, and yes, they look like they're hand-cut, but someone's in a hurry. Many of them are oddly shaped, truncated, broken off, or have jagged edges. The fact that they are cut from glass means they are slightly imperfect and have nice squared edges rather than rounded ones. But it also means many disadvantages. You have to carefully sort and even cut off sharp edges. If you look at my photo you will understand what I'm talking about.

I started making this mosaic a long time ago, but I put it aside because I found it too challenging to incorporate stained glass into the to carve shapes I needed. I couldn't figure out how to make a butterfly background. When I saw that these pieces were on sale I was once again inspired by the shapes of the petals already cut out for me.
