Good build for the most part

I really like how strong this block feels in terms of construction. There was a notch in one of the steel rails that could hurt someone if not careful That would be a semi-star bug. The other half of the star has more to do with the design itself. When these shelves are open, it's a little disappointing that the top isn't "open". That means, that I can't use the (infinite) space above the counter for taller items (e.g. vertically oriented game consoles.) A minor criticism and one I should have…

Pros
  • 18" deep (switch depth)
Cons
  • Can I add something

Strong, cheap and light open frame rack!

Rack is very strong! The crossbars make it much more durable than other similar racks without them. Lightweight and easy to handle yourself. There are no assembly instructions. I had to find a picture of Revain and then assemble it through trial and error. That is the reason for the 4 stars. Overall a great product for the price.

Pros
  • 12U 2-post open frame with 12-24 mounting holes for standard 19" rack mount equipment
Cons
  • Unnecessary features

Good stand, some quality issues

I used this stand to store all my audio, video and internet/network equipment at home in one place in one to assemble the cabinet. The stand connected perfectly and was easy to mount on the wall (the mounting hole spacing is 16 inches, which is the standard spacing for wall stands). I purchased two vented rack shelves separately and used them to rack mount a Denon A/V receiver, Oppo DVD player, fiber optic modem, DVR, and HP 24-port switch. I have after that no more sagging noticed installation

Pros
  • Easy to wall mount and assemble to reduce clutter and increase floor space
Cons
  • Something different

Sturdy and easy to assemble

Sturdy and easy to assemble. All necessary screws are included. Anchor bolts work well for mounting to drywall. It would be nice to include wood screws as many of those closest to the IDF have wooden backs just for fastening things like this. The only issue I had was that both of the top support bars were cut at the wrong angle, resulting in the pointed ends sticking out instead of being flush.

Pros
  • Easy to assemble and wall mount to reduce clutter and increase floor space
Cons
  • Very expensive

Good workmanship for the most part

I really like how solid the construction of this unit feels. There was a nick in one of the steel rails that could hurt someone if you're not careful. That would be a semi-star error. The other half of the star has more to do with the design itself. When these shelves are open, it's a little disappointing that the top isn't "open". This means I can't use the (infinite) space above the counter for taller items (e.g. game consoles oriented vertically). A minor gripe and one I should have…

Pros
  • SPCC Heavy Duty Black powder coated steel
Cons
  • Could have opted for a newer model

Very strong and well built

Very strong and well built. As I always do with rackmount equipment, I rotated it a few positions and did a few push-ups before installing it. Without deformation and sagging. The entire NavePoint brand passed this test. I'm deducting a star (and probably shouldn't have given the excellent quality) because one of the screw holes is unthreaded. (quality control problem). It is drilled to size, with a small light inside and is unthreaded. (I tried about half a dozen tries with the last screw…

Pros
  • 18" deep (derailleur depth)
Cons
  • Can't remember but there was something in there
