I love my 1540s but they always have a hole in the same spot!

I've had MANY pairs of the new 1540 scales. This is the only pair on the show that I can walk comfortably in without making my plantar fasciitis worse. The arch support and flat bottom supports are a dream come true. Unfortunately, each pair has holes in 1 out of 2 places long before the bottom shows any signs of wear. One is on the outside of the little finger, the other in the big train where the mesh weave meets the leather weave. When paying over $170 for a show I only wish it lasted…

Pros
  • I am diabetic and need support and comfort. Large
Cons
  • May not provide sufficient support to walk

I wore these shoes for 2 weeks because my doctor told me to switch to them for destroying the creeks so quickly he first told me. These shoes were the most uncomfortable in the world... you might as well wear clogs. I'm up 8 hours a night and I've been looking for a reason to sit down. I went back to the creeks for 2 days and never had foot pain due to my plantar fasciitis. 100% not worth what I paid for them and I can't even return them because they are worn out.

Pros
  • Amazing comfort, cool design, what's not to like?
Cons
  • Sneakers can easily wear out and get damaged

Had to send them back

As for shoes, I have 10.5 6 feet with spurs. These shoes (if I can get them) are the best I've found. They are wide enough and have a high arch that keeps pressure off the spurs. They last about four months. @ $170 for a couple. Yes, that's crazy. I sent this pair back because they were worn out. The caterpillars had red clay or dog droppings (hopefully red clay). They smelled strongly of urine. I am absolutely outraged. Revain took them back and gave me a loan, no refund. They are out of…

Pros
  • Lots of support but it's quite a heavy shoe.
Cons
  • The supports have been changed. The current ones will not protect your legs.

Worst training shoes

I literally want to cut off my legs right now. I've worn Saucony for years and have "upgraded" the shoes to provide better support for the plantar fascia. Bologne. These shoes are so uncomfortable. I can't force anything. 928s feel a lot better. I paid $130 for them at the store and will never buy these shoes again. Always.

Pros
  • Very comfortable shoes for a heavy person. But hot on the feet. Fits true to size
Cons
  • The right shoe is larger than the left. The tongue on the right shoe is shorter than the tongue on the left.

Doesn't fit as expected. Very small

I've been wearing NB 1540v3 for 10 years now. I wear 10.5 4E. I bought the shoes a few months ago, when the shoes arrived I tried them on, they were snug. I thought they would stretch. It was a mistake on my part. Shoes are much narrower than they used to be. Very disappointed with the shoe width mismatch. If you have wide feet I would not recommend this shoe

Pros
  • LOVE THE NEW BALANCE.
Cons
  • Definitely not as wide as my other New Balance 6E Wide shoes. Pretty disappointed.

The quality has gone down

I have had all versions of these shoes and this is by far the worst. All previous versions lasted over a year, the only problem is that they just broke and are no longer supported. I've had this pair for a little over a month and I already have a hole in my toe and I've also had trouble tying my laces. I have to tighten them several times a day because they come loose. I bought these for work because I'm on my feet all day and have severe flat feet. They are very supportive but not sure how…

Pros
  • Great shoes fit well
Cons
  • Creaks and creaks when walking.

Disappointed considering how much they cost

I wear them as work shoes and have to stand on concrete. They look good but don't have enough padding for me. I swapped out the insoles and that helped, but they're still not as comfortable and supportive as I'd like. I previously had two pairs of New Balance 1012-V1's which were much better but only available in white in my size. 1012-V1s were also much cheaper. I will no longer buy 1540-V3.

Pros
  • Very well made shoes. Very comfortable and supportive.
Cons
  •  Made in Vietnam, not the USA.

The top mesh began to fail after 6 months

These boots are less than 9 months old and the tears that appeared after only 5-6 months are growing faster and faster. I have been buying these or similar shoes for many years, they have never let me down so quickly.

Pros
  • They are comfortable and very supportive.
Cons
  • Lack of durability can lead to frequent replacement

Revainrating 2 out of 5

I loved these shoes when I first bought them.

.but in just a few months they literally went bad. There's a hole in the mesh on the right boot that looks like I've been stabbed with a rapier. (I was not). The pages are worn and falling apart. This is the first New Balance product of this poor quality that I have purchased.

Pros
  • The support and comfort is head and shoulders better than any other shoe I've tried.
Cons
  • Design must not be aesthetic

You just keep cutting with this 1540.

I have bought several cheaper New Balance models in the past. When I discovered the 1540 V2, it was the best shoe I've ever owned (Made in America). Unfortunately this model was discontinued and the only option was the 1540 V3. The V3 was still better than the cheaper versions, but not nearly as good as the V2. Although wearing a hole in the upper of the shoe in the toe area is still quite comfortable. I bought another pair of V3s in the same style because what other choice do I have? I later…

Pros
  • Very good comfortable shoes but would love to get a better deal or find them on sale.
Cons
  • The design may not match all types of clothing

Good shoes from the USA.

I love these sneakers. Shoes made in America are hard to find. I want Revain to start advertising and clearly identify which products are made in the USA.

Pros
  • Found in stock in my size.
Cons
  • Poor breathability can cause foot odor

Revainrating 2 out of 5

now what was before

I've had the same shoes and size for years and this one isn't the same as previous pairs, the heart to toe part of the show, harder and less forgiving which brings me to a certain level. discomfort in the legs. This will most likely be the last pair of New Balance shoes I get

Pros
  • I always use these shoes for work on my feet and I'm tall!
Cons
  • May not be suitable for high impact activities

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very comfortable with great support

I bought these shoes because I have pain in my feet and need better support. I read the reviews and they live up to the hype. Very comfortable, offer great support and look good.

Pros
  • These New Balance running shoes offer great support - glad I found them in my size.
Cons
  • Shoes may not provide sufficient stability

Not the real thing.

Ordered these shoes for the second time. The first time they showed up and worked like a real $170 pair from the New Balance store, not these. They arrived the night before traveling to Disneyland. My husband was so happy. He also had to pack his old ones. He had 3 hot miserable days at Disneyland because his legs were so sore. I guess we have to go to the NB store to make sure he bought genuine NB shoes.

Pros
  • These shoes fit great and I wear them all the time.
Cons
  • Shoes may not be suitable for people with wide feet.

Quality sneakers in my review

My podiatrist recommended these shoes to me over 20 years ago and I still wear them. These are quality running shoes that have never let me down.

Pros
  • The high-quality workmanship is great for foot problems. true size.
Cons
  • Expensive and no longer made in the USA….

Tough as a rock... in my review.

I bought my first pair of these sneakers a year ago and absolutely love them. One day it was time for a new pair, I went to another company based on their claim for outdoor hiking shoes. They were very comfortable but started falling apart after 3 weeks. I sent them back and ordered a second pair of these NB 1540v3s. These shoes are very well built and have great support. I've learned my lesson. You really do get what you pay for. They are great for hiking, working out in the gym etc. I…

Pros
  • Great shoes for walking or jogging.
Cons
  • The design may not be as trendy or trending as other options on the market.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

comfort and support

I use these shoes for walking, jogging (too slow to call running), treadmill work, elliptical trainers, and casual wear. Although I've had them for two weeks, they are comfortable and have good support. I have narrow feet and I always like narrow shoes.

Pros
  • They are very comfortable to wear and look good
Cons
  • Shoes can be too heavy for long-distance running

Revainrating 1 out of 5

During New Balance

This particular model was made in the USA and I clung to it like an unforgettable memory. This was the shoe for my ankle problems. Now that they're made in Vietnam, they're not the same shoe or brace or anything. Hot Trash.

Pros
  • I work and I love the New Balance Roller Bar
Cons
  • A lack of flexibility can affect the natural movement of the foot.

Revainrating 1 out of 5

False advertising in my review

I ordered this pair of shoes after looking for USA made NB 990 shoes. Product images feature an American flag tab that says "MADE IN USA". When I received the shoes, the tag did not match the product image on the website listing and checking the tongue on the back of the tongue showed the shoes were made in Vietnam. I just checked the listing of this product before writing this review and it still shows the same.

Pros
  • I love these shoes! They fit well, are comfortable and are suitable for almost every day.
Cons
  • Lack of padding can cause discomfort

Revainrating 5 out of 5

God my judgment for my opinion

I have very painful feet, especially hallux rigidus. The wide and durable toe box makes this the most comfortable shoe on the market. Worth every penny

Pros
  • Finally found shoes wide enough for my husband's hoop he wears, will buy more, need more colors.
Cons
  • Can be uncomfortable in everyday life.
