This shoe takes a few runs to get used to. The first thing I noticed was the heavy padding. The problem wasn't the cushioning, it was the fact that excess cushioning makes it unstable at footfall. After a few runs, however, this seemed to go away. I believe it goes away because the cushioning adjusts. Now they feel more stable and less soft, which is good. Heel slips but wearing these shoes with tighter lacing fixed that for me. I come from Pegasus. I've been wearing the Pegasus for probably 15

    Pros
    • Daily sneakers love them!!!
    Cons
    • Fabric doesn't hold up well. The left toe material has collapsed in the middle and rubs the toes. Too expensive for bad quality

V9 feels better/more comfortable than the old V7

Got joggers from Zappos, very reliable company. Brand new in nice box/packaging. For me, v9 is good for my legs compared to my old 1080v7.

    Pros
    • second couple They fit well and are great for running, walking and general workouts. Highly recommended.
    Cons
    • Shoes may not be suitable for people with arthritis

    Great running shoes!

This is probably my 25th pair of New Balance sneakers. NB never ceases to amaze me with the superior stability and comfort of their shoes, ready to go! I couldn't be happier!

    Pros
    • Really great shoes, so comfortable!
    Cons
    • Wrong size

I want to like these shoes, but.

You look great. They fit great. I like elastic shoelaces. Unfortunately after eight runs of 10-12 miles my feet and ankles hurt and even my knees complain. Why It Happens The soles appear to be soft and cushioning materials, but I think it's the flat soles that put too much power back on my feet. Every step knocks. UPDATE: I hate giving these shoes a star, but in ten years of running I have never had this kind of pain in my ankles and knees after running in these shoes. The outsole's firm, flat

    Pros
    • Looked great and felt great
    Cons
    • Shoes may not be suitable for people with nerve problems in their feet.

They are so different from my last pair of Asics I wasn't sure I had just bought them. All of my reactions are compared to my last pair of running shoes. The heel drop is noticeable and seems to help me a lot with my stride. The cushioning is fantastic, takes a little getting used to, but after my first run I was hooked. Possibly the best pair of running shoes I've ever owned. It really looks like a leap in technology. Running requires less effort and the wear and tear on my body is noticeably…

    Pros
    • Great!
    Cons
    • Expensive compared to other running shoes on the market

The most comfortable shoes I've ever worn

The most comfortable tennis shoes I've ever worn. The cushioning is excellent. I wore a pair, not the first time I bought them on Ebay, for a whole year. The outsole is still good. I'm having trouble finding size 15 shoes. New Balance is a longtime favorite.

    Pros
    • Bought them for plantar fasciitis. While it works great.
    Cons
    • Shoes may not be suitable for people with flat feet.

    Side padding is missing

The New Balance 1080v9 lacks padding around the opening of the shoe, making it very uncomfortable, and prolonged wear can cause blisters. I speak for myself.

    Pros
    • Good shoes
    Cons
    • Shoes may not be suitable for people with a high instep.

Great shoes for aching knees and backs

As a longtime "athlete" I had several knee operations, which led to increased back pain in old age. Wanting to get back to running, I researched the "best" shoes for these symptoms and was pleasantly surprised after my first few runs. Time will tell how long they maintain the support and cushioning, but I'm satisfied.

    Pros
    • Satisfied
    Cons
    • Shoes may not be suitable for people with a cleft shin.

    Great shoes...good for me

love these things. Ordered a pair, wore them for a month (walk not run) and ordered two more pairs in case they die. Easy to put on and take off, the laces stay tied and they're very comfortable. I walk 5-7 miles a day, 5 days a week and my feet don't hurt when I get home.

    Pros
    • 4E is wide and the legs do not hurt. Good cushioning.
    Cons
    • doesn't hold up so well

    Well done last comment

It's a shame that the design of the 1090 (and all shoes) changes all the time, but I love this version (simple and not flashy) and very comfortable.

    Pros
    • love it
    Cons
    • Comfortable shoes. Weak external support. Not suitable for lateral movements. Easily rolls ankles

    friend loves it!

My boyfriend has narrow feet so I was happy to get them at a great price. He said it was the most comfortable running shoe he'd ever had and gave his feet great support. I would have bought it in a different color if the size had been available.

    Pros
    • The only thing I don't like is that they are a bit heavy.
    Cons
    • These boots are 4 weeks old and are falling apart! I want a return or exchange!

    Comfortable shoes: my rating

I bought these as a heavy guy who needed support for a planter fasciitis issue. They seem to help because of the heel pad. This is not a soft pillow but is very supportive. I bought the light grey/black ones (with some red dots) and they look really good. EDIT: Now after three months of fairly light wear (no casual shoes) the flimsy toe lining in the heel has started to tear. . I can't believe shoes that are so expensive wear out already.

    Pros
    • They fit just like the hoes the doctor ordered. They had the same numbers and everything.
    Cons
    • Shoes may not be appropriate for those with insufficient pronation.

    Great sneakers: my review

For the price, this pair of shoes is one of the most comfortable pairs I own. You know what, forget the price. They are easy to inflate, light and comfortable. Whether you're looking for a neutral running, hiking or versatile shoe that won't break the bank. That's all.

    Pros
    • Perfect fit and great look. The cushioning is perfect.
    Cons
    • These shoes wear out quickly. The insole near the heel went away after 1/2 month.

The best running shoes I've ever used.

I've been using these shoes for a few months now. These are the best running shoes I've ever used. Much better than my Nike Vomeros. I bought the Wide because after a few miles my feet tend to get a little wider. I feel great even after several kilometers. I stop running because my body is tired, not because of the shoes.

    Pros
    • Great shoes for running and walking
    Cons
    • Only available in 7.5N US, limiting buyers' market.

These shoes can be dangerously unstable.

I have been running/jogging for over 40 years. I wore New Balance 990 series shoes most of the time. These shoes have always worked great and I've never had a fall with them. I was recommended to try Fresh Foam Sneakers, which I did. This shoe offers good cushioning but can be dangerously unstable. I've had two bad falls (about six months apart) that resulted in a broken arm, severe arm tears and severe bruising of the ribs. Both falls required a visit to the hospital. What these shoes gain in…

    Pros
    • Walk comfortably
    Cons
    • Shoes may not be available in stores near you.

    Very durable and comfortable

This is my husband's favorite version of New Balance Fresh Foam. They're hard to find since they're version 9. The fading of the shoes also looks very stylish.

    Pros
    • These shoes are for my daughter. She has a hard time getting in shape, but she thinks these New Balance shoes are perfect for her. This is a plus!
    Cons
    • They fit well but I didn't have enough padding under my toes...so I sent them back.

    Great running shoes

I love these New Balance Fresh Foam 1080 V9 men's sneakers. I've bought at least two pairs of these shoes from Amazon and also a pair from my local running store. They are comfortable and offer amazing support. I'm a tall guy (6ft 3in, 230lbs) and often get sore knees and ankles when running long distances, say 5+ miles. I never have knee pain in these shoes. I have New Balance Men's Fresh Foam 1080 V8 running shoes and these are a nice upgrade for them. I also tried version 10 but didn't like…

    Pros
    • Aside from the odd camel toe, this is the perfect shoe.
    Cons
    • Shoes can cause blisters due to poor fit

Perfect shoe - my new review

The shoes answered all my questions with comfort and design. NB is number one in making shoes that actually work, not some gimmicks like other brands.

    Pros
    • Very easy. Fits and feels great. Like her looks
    Cons
    • Shoes may not be suitable for people with overpronation.

I love these shoes for my opinion

I'm not a big runner, about 3 miles straight a few days a week. They have lasted longer than other shoes I have had and are more comfortable.

    Pros
    • Great fit, great price, shoes I've been using for 2 years now.
    Cons
    • The sock on the shoes wears out very quickly!!

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

    Excellent stability in my opinion.

I ordered a size up and wider to accommodate the braces. This shoe is wonderful. Great stability for my healing foot. Makes walking and standing much easier.

    Pros
    • Very good product, wide sole for excellent stability.
    Cons
    • Shoes may not be suitable for people with plantar fasciitis.
