Perfect, budget friendly, paddle for kayakers.

This kayak paddle features a sturdy aluminum handle that snaps together tighter than most. It floats well until you have a chance to retrieve it. I had a chance to use this paddle in a river, marsh, beach, mouth of the bay, and creek. It held up very nicely. The paddle ends are very firm, I purposely beached myself on sand and stone, and was able to use this paddle to push me back into the current . It displaces water well, and keeps you tracking fairly straight. Each handle has a soft wrap to…

Pros
  • Easy to assemble, light weight, and great for our kayaking trips
Cons
  • May not be compatible with all kayak models

Better than Walmart

The description says it’s medium length paddle is ideal for most situations, but I found it a little short for my liking. I am 5’5” with a 32” wide kayak. In this picture the person is 6’4”. The paddle does a good job of clicking into place, and there are three holes around the shaft I could click into so the paddle doesn’t have to be completely flat. They do not spin while paddling. The paddle is light weight and easy to undo for travel back home. There are water stops and a little like, soft…

Pros
  • Like that I can adjust the paddles out of phase to compensate arm rotation.
Cons
  • the metal is already looking worn only out about 6 times, grips cheap

Great Paddle for the Money - Comes with Leash!

Great paddle for the money. While it isn't super lightweight, it is very sturdy. It is also the first paddle I've ordered that has come with a leash. I have a bunch of high end Werner paddles and the cheapest no-brand paddles. the quality of this paddle is much closer to the high-end paddles I own. Fast shipping as well. Love it!

Pros
  • ‎39 Ounces
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those who prefer a straight shaft

Superior Product best in my review

Just received my paddle today, and I can't tell you how ecstatic I am about the quality! I had another brand paddle that cost nearly double than this one that wasn't quality made, wasn't this light, and did not offer hand cushioning support. I plan on taking them out on the water this weekend. If anything changes I will update my review. But as an intermediate kayaker I know the difference between quality and cheap alloy or blades. I am very happy with my purchase and highly recommend.

Pros
  • Kayaking
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those who prefer a flat blade

No paddle leash - my new review

It's a very good paddle for the price. HOWEVER, the advertising shows it with a paddle leash. There was NO paddle leash when mine arrived, and I see that's true for other reviewers.

Pros
  • Good value for good paddles. I would buy again.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for right-handed users

Great entry level paddles

Good price for durable, easy-to-use paddles for entry level paddling. Did not find these to be much of a downgrade compared to much more expensive paddles we had years ago. The drip guards don't seem to do a lot to keep you from getting wet, but that is pretty standard fare across any paddle I have tried. My only complaint is that the black paint chipped a bit almost immediately at the middle where the two parts push together. Otherwise these are a nice purchase.

Pros
  • Sports
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those who prefer a spoon blade

Seem to work well: my feedback

These were bought as a replacement for the OEM paddles and I have only used them once but they seem better than the OEM design.

Pros
  • ‎90.5''
Cons
  • May not be suitable for racing or surfing

Interesting Design - Gouges and Scratches

This paddle has an interesting design. It apparently has gouges and scratches built into the design of the paddle. There are fairly deep scrathes in the face of one side of these paddles and large scratches designed into the metal where the paddle connects together. There are also burs on the heatwrap that can be uncomfortable so you need to adjust your grip. The pictures are a bit deciving as its hard to noticed the scratched design from photos on the website. Personally I would have liked an…

Pros
  • Great price for kayak paddle. Really like the added bungee cord.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those with back problems

So far so good. good for me

We did only take it out twice but the paddle seems as light and durable as my other which lasted quite a while. It has holes for various positions.

Pros
  • It's great for kayaking
Cons
  • May not be durable enough for heavy use

Good for taller individuals with standard lake kayak

Got for my tall husband. The paddle that came with his kayak got caught under a dock and bent in a freak windstorm. This one is longer than that standard paddle. Works nicely for standard lake kayak. If we were to purchase top of line river kayak would probably have spent more money for better quality paddle.

Pros
  • ‎Black
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those who prefer symmetrical blades

Good budget paddle on my review.

Quite a bit stiffer than the paddle that came with my kayak. I do wish it had more hand grip/cushion but love the tie up and color. Well worth the upgrade considering the price.

Pros
  • I do wish it had more hand grip/cushion but love the tie up and color
Cons
  • May be too heavy for some users

Perfect for my needs!

I just bought an Oru fold up kayak and although I had paddles, I thought I would get white ones to match it. I am impressed with these so far. Great value for the money for sure.

Pros
  • It has a long, strong, shaft, with bulbous ends.
Cons
  • May be prone to rust if not cared for properly

THE QUALIITY FOR THE PRICE.UNBELIEVABLE !

I RECOMMEND THIS PADDLE TO ANYONE AND THE PRICE WAS HARD TO BELIEVE BUT ITS GREAT QUALITY AND LIGHT WEIGHT, THE PADDLES ARE LONG AND SHAPED FOR QUALITY PADDLING. THE COLOR QUALITY WAS MORE THAN I EVER EXPECTED. NOT TO MENTION THE PADDING ON THE POLE WITH GREAT WATER CATCHER RINGS. PLUS THEY THREW IN A FREE LEASH.WOW . I AM VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER!

Pros
  • ‎Alloy
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those who prefer a curved blade

Bought two - with two leashes - received only one paddle and leash.Gave two stars instead of one because it appears to be a well made product.Need the other paddle / leash

Pros
  • Good and sturdy but the blades are a little weak so I wouldn't recommend for rapids over class 3.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those who prefer wooden paddles

u wont stay dry on my review.

if your buy this paddle, expect to get wet. The notch in the blade holds water, and as u can imagine, bringing that notch upward and angling it toward u will send that stream straight down your elbow and soak you. not bad if u expect to get wet tho. and its cheap.

Pros
  • DURABLE AND AFFORDABLE: This kayak paddle is with high-quality aluminum alloy shaft (1.1mm shell thickness) and fiberglass reinforced PP blade. The material combination ensures a stiff and durable kayak paddle at a better price. It’s a perfect choice for starters and intermediate kayakers.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those who prefer carbon fiber paddles

Good paddle for price

I'm sure there are probably better paddles out there but for the price I couldn't be more happy with the performance. I've taken it on two multiday paddles and it's worked great. Would definitely recommend.

Pros
  • Does what it should
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those with arthritis

Easy to store when not in use

I like that the paddles can be easily broken down into two sections, which makes it possible to maneuver when carrying it & the two pieces are short enough to fit during vehicle transport. It is also much easier to store the two short pieces of the paddle rather than finding a place to store one very long paddle in the garage when not in use. I also like that the paddle angle is able to be changed in different positions.

Pros
  • ‎48.74 x 7.09 x 3.39 inches
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those who prefer fiberglass paddles

Love this paddle! in my review

I have the 8.5 lifetime Hydros. The paddle replaced the original! The kayak is rather wide. With this paddle the kayak steered straighter and a bit faster! Love it! Cost was a bonus!

Pros
  • as advertised. Great deal for the price.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those with limited strength

Revainrating 5 out of 5

For the price I don’t think it can be beat.

I needed a longer paddle for my pedal drive kayak. I don’t paddle much but I need a longer paddle when I do because I have a wide kayak. I also use it to push myself when I’m standing in my kayak fishing shallow water

Pros
  • Along with its practical features, the sleek and stylish design of the OCEANBROAD paddle adds a visually appealing element to any kayaking adventure
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those who prefer a rubberized grip

Works great price in my review

I Got a kayak & of course it didn’t come with a paddle. I didn’t want to spend a lot $ on a fiberglass handle Paddles so I Got this one & I was pretty surprised how well it worked. Pro it Breaks down into 2 pieces so it’s easy to put in the car and go. if you become a pro its a great back up for the price or if your friend wants to try your kayak out you don’t have to give him/her your $250 one.

Pros
  • POPULAR LENGTH AT 230CM: Not too short, not too long, the oar is 230cm (90.5 inches) at length. It’s an ideal kayak paddle with moderate length for you and your family. It’s also detachable at 2 sections, so you might carry it around and put it away easily.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those with higher or lower paddle techniques
