Accurate measurements required for my annual maintenance.

A great way to match the two sizes needed for my annual water heater maintenance on my van. Now I no longer have to visit my brother-in-law to borrow his tools.

Simple anode rod removal tool

Perfectly fits the anode rod. The tool has 2 ends that match those of the anode. Mine is used for an RV water heater and worked great. A long screwdriver was used to turn it, as I would like with a rod.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

The set is worth the money.

Great that you can buy it as a set. This saves time when replacing; additionally for the next camping season and one for the current season. Includes a remove/replace tool for the newly added bonus in the pack.

Pros
  • Heavy duty
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Meh, just use sockets.

The side of the heating element was the wrong shape to work and just broke when I applied force with a screwdriver. the anode side was soft and just beginning to round. I ended up going out and buying a 1-1/16 and 1-1/2 jack from the store to use instead. useless.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • unreliable

Simple and effective tool

Holes for larger tool. I used a 3/8 breaker. Removing these anodes can require a lot of torque. Small screwdrivers fit in stock holes and you can't get enough torque with short screwdrivers. Or leave the original holes and drill your own so you can get a longer screwdriver to get more torque. Inch breaker solves the problem of removing the anode rod from hard-to-reach places.

  • Stylish and modern design

Absolute crap - plumbing

Don't waste time. This tool is useless. I have a 1.5" socket but the lip is too thick to fit in the recess where the heating element sits so I bought this tool. It rounded off when I tried to loosen the electric heating element with the 1.5" head. Side. The thickness of the nest is too thin. I have now ordered a proper nozzle that is thicker than this tool, hopefully it will fit and work. I didn't use the smaller size as I have a socket set that fits the anode. The concept of this tool is good,

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok

Where to start. I know it says 'residential' and I bought it for a gas tank, which is probably bad for me. It's too long and I ended up cutting it in half to get two smaller tools. The small end is 1 inch and my plug was 15/16 so that end was useless because the drain plugs are nylon and if they are even a bit bigger they won't work. However, the wide end is the right size for the heating element, so after I trimmed it all is fine. It would be nice if there was a nut on one end instead of…

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • High price

FIT THIS TYPE FOR THE INTENDED WORK

If you are looking for something like this you have items that may have rusty and/or corroded threads. This nest is probably not strong enough to remove many of them. You can't apply much torque to the bushing as you can only stick a fairly flimsy screwdriver through the holes. I squeezed the nut very hard and it kept slipping. After half a dozen unsuccessful attempts to pry out my first element, I saw that there were already cutouts in the interior walls where the flattened ends of the…
