🔌 Enhanced Fuel Line Disconnect Tool - OTC 6509 Review

The best matching tool I have found for removing a 99 3500 Chevy 2WD fuel line. Others I've tried have been extremely difficult, if not impossible, to use. costs money

I used it on my 98 GMC Sierra to remove the fuel lines from the tank to replace a ruptured pipe. It is countersunk properly to allow the tool to remove the latches without destroying the transmitter. None of my other fuel line tools could get in there, but this one did.

Dude I've been struggling with a plastic parting tool for over an hour and couldn't disconnect the fuel line. So I gave up and admitted defeat in the first round, went back to Revain and bought this metal sissor instrument. Got the tool, got back under my truck and removed the fuel line in literally 2 minutes! WOW what an amazing difference! I always have this tool in my toolbox!

Got this to disconnect the fuel lines on a 95 Shev fuel rail. There is not much space where the lines go. It was very difficult to get the tool (too long) to go in and around the lines. It's also difficult to keep it closed on the line. I went and bought another one from the auto parts store that was half the size and had a tension spring to close it. That way, once you get it on the line, it stays there. I think you could add a rubber band for tension so it doesn't open when you run it around…

The best fuel line disconnect tool I have ever had including some tools I have purchased from tool carts. The only difference I see between this one and the one I bought over 25 years ago was old, had an OTC Ford Special Tool number and was made in the USA. This is made in Taiwan. Despite the price, this is a very poor quality tool. It's made of cheap metal-like metal. It doesn't have the weight, look or feel of steel. This tool bent and deformed on the first and only use and did not remove the fuel line connector. The tool is so poorly made that *both* ends of the tool are deformed and misaligned even though I only used one end. I have never heard a "click" when attempting to remove a connector with this tool.
