Easy setup, great sound quality

Great phone! The sound quality is excellent (nice and loud) and easy to set up on most SIP compatible phone systems. The package does not include a power adapter, so it MUST be used with a PoE switch or PoE injector.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Sad hardware

Doesn't work or restarts

We bought this along with 16 phones in March 2019 for our new building under construction. Construction was completed in August 2019 and now it's time to set up the phones and one of the phones and the Polycom Soundstation won't restart or work. Nobody will return or fix it.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Works very well with our NEC SV8100

I bought this conference desk phone for our 20 x 12 conference room. We have 15 people around the table during our weekly meetings. Before we had this device, our remote workers would always ask us to speak and we had trouble understanding them too. Once we installed this unit, they were amazed at how clear and loud we sounded. We connected it to our NEC SV8100 via IP. Works very well.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Incredible piggy bank

Will not work after 90 day warranty Revain

Bought from Revain mid April 2021, stopped working in early August. The display shows a damaged file system. Polycom shows this device originally shipped in 2019. Anyway, the warranty has expired. Polycom post-warranty repairs cost a minimum of $500. It's cheaper to buy another phone than to fix it. This time I'm buying from a Polycom reseller rather than a third-party Revain vendor.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Updates

Reliable conference room phone.

Very good and reliable product. It's a bit tricky to set it up under our company's SIP server - some browsers aren't compatible with the login page, so I often couldn't login. Once set up, the call quality is very satisfactory. I don't like the buttons on my phone. They are generally not very comfortable to press. Maybe they're ok for short interactions, but my hands hurt a lot right after 5-6 dialed numbers. At this point I award 4 stars.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...

I love these phones! for VoIP

Polycom have some GREAT conference phones and for our needs this one is perfect and doesn't disappoint. We ended up buying another one for one of the offices. This phone worked great in conjunction with our Cudatel phone system and being all digital it was perfect for eliminating the need for dummy converters to activate our old analogue sound stations. Call quality and noise reduction are phenomenal, as you'd expect from Polycom devices - and this particular phone easily supports large…

Some installation hurts, but it's worth it

We use it in our 20" x 24". Conference room and overall it's a great phone for the price. The sound quality is excellent and even without additional microphones we can seat 8-10 people around our conference table and everyone can be heard clearly. We use this with RingCentral as our provider and that was the only issue. Normally for a customer-provided phone, RingCentral only gives you the username and password for the device, but since they have their own version of that particular phone, they

Great conference phone!

So far we have used our desk phone for conference calling. It worked, but people at the end of the table were practically shouting to be heard, and we sometimes got feedback because the speaker was turned all the way up. We recently got a new phone system and decided to try a real conference phone to see the difference. Of course we won't be using our desk phone anymore! everyone at the table can be heard at normal recording levels, and the audio is loud and clear. Polycom got it right. I will…
