Ranked Higher?: Computer Accessories & Peripherals

I bought this product based on reviews on photo forums. Yes, it's slightly faster than my cheaper USB 3 card reader, but it's not lightning fast. It could be my computer (iMac 5k 2015 with 32GB RAM). Maybe it's my USB sticks (San Disk Extreme 95 Mb/s). I haven't tried my 128Mbps CF cards. I would not recommend this reader to anyone who asked for it.

it works as advertised

works a little better than the Kingston multi card reader I've used a couple of times but at 135MB/s vs 120MB/s for my old card reader I don't think it will be worth . (uses a Sandisk Extreme Pro CF card)

Pros
  • Brilliantly done
Cons
  • boring packaging

Fast transfer to computer accessories and peripherals

Allows the memory card to transfer at maximum speed. The only downside is that the included USB-C cable is quite short, and when I tried using a different USB-C cable, the transfer speed dropped from 250MB/s to 40MB/s.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Not everything is as good as it says

Works as advertised

It is rare these days to buy a product that works exactly as advertised with no problems. This product does. I've used it on Mac and PC and it worked as expected on both. When using my UHS-II SD card, the transfer speeds matched the advertised speeds.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Almost everything is present

Good. Almost the maximum read speed of my fastest SD card.

Attached are some Windows images copied to and from the SD card installed in this reader. 184MB/s image copy and WRITE of 20.9GB RAW and JPG photo files from a PCIe 4.0 SSD to a 128GB Lexar Gold SD card at 260MB/s write speed installed in a dual ProGrade card reader digital. The card reader connects to a USB port, which offers much faster speeds. Not what I expected

I bought this based on reviews but was very disappointed. Maybe the device I received is just a bad device, but I've never received more than 45MB of transfer since I bought it last September. I am getting 80-90MB transfer on my Anker 3 in 1 3.0 card reader connected to the same ports. I have tried many different cards (CF, SD and Micro SD) from different manufacturers with rated speeds of 90M or higher. I've also tried this on multiple computers (Windows and Mac) via USB 3.0 and 3.1 with…

Photographers Best Friend and Time Saver.

As a photographer and freelance photojournalist, I'm usually under tight deadlines and deadlines. I have many different card readers from very good brands. However, no one can match the data rate of this device. Yes, it's expensive, so I personally refrained from buying it at first, but then I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did. It saved me a lot of time when transferring files to my computer on a business trip and I shot everything in RAW so I have gigabytes of files to transfer. So…
