The best shoes are bought for support.

My husband wears size 14 shoes but his feet are severely swollen from lymphedema. So we bought a size 15 and I was happy to see that they are a 2XX width. It worked! The shoes are big enough for his swollen feet. The only problem is the back of the shoe. A bit difficult to insert the instep. The shoehorn doesn't help so I use my hands to extend the ankle support to get my foot in. Great hiking shoes! Comfortable and supportive.

Excellent work shoes in my review

I'm really excited about this work shoe. I rely on them to protect my feet and they really do. They've been making life difficult for them for a few years and they still fit and give great support to my feet. If they wear out over time I will definitely buy another pair.

They look nice but wearing is not so good.

Velcro straps are too long and they don't have a velcro strap on the bottom that is long enough. In addition, the dimensions must be large. I wear a 10 1/2, bought 10 and they are still too big. They look nice but wearing is not so good. I do not recommend this product.

. The tongue became tight and painful. I even got a size bigger when I came back.

My friend has wide feet and we thought this would work, but the area above and beside the tongue became tight and painful. I even got a size up after returning a pair but it didn't matter.

Stylish and well fitting.

The shoes fit well and look very nice. My left foot is swollen due to mild kidney problems so the straps need tightening after wearing them out a bit. Other than that I really like this pair, this is my second pair of Propets. I still wear my first pair for trips or errands. They have miles and memories and have literally walked where ancient kings and Caesars roamed! I keep this pair for the occasional outing and socializing when they are unlikely to get dirty. Propet Connely hiking shoes

They appear to be well made. How they hold up remains to be seen as I've only had them for a few days. If your feet sweat a lot, you don't need these shoes. They appear to be shoes that breathe well thanks to the material they are made of. This material is absolutely breathable. I'll probably end up distributing these things to those in need. Otherwise they are comfortable to wear.

Best shoes for swollen or aching feet

I have feet that sometimes swell and/or hurt. Comparing Propets to Dr. Scholls, Hush Puppies and Joseph Allens, Propets were the most convenient and also the most expensive. Scholls were also very good and HP were good; but the propets were definitely better.

Cool shoes my verdict

Bought 10.5, fits well. I usually buy a size 10 but needed a little larger because I had a stroke and need to wear AFO for my legs. As shown in the photo, fast quality product, thank you.

Good lightweight alternative to running shoes

Nice and comfortable shoes. My rating reflects the odd shape of the foot, which is not understandable under any circumstances. I think any normal foot would be very happy in these shoes.

I bought these for my 89 year old father for Christmas because he complained that he couldn't find Velcro shoes. He asked me for a triple width - I think his foot bones have loosened with age. I was afraid they would be so loose that his foot would slip off, but they are perfect. I'll see the shoes wear out but so far he's been very happy with them and so have I - not only are they pretty but they're strong enough that I'm less worried about him falling off. Shoes don't wear well.

I ordered a pair of these for my husband on June 1st. It's November here and the heels are so worn that one heel has literally snapped. The rest of the two heels are practically worn down in one spot on both shoes. The shoes themselves look very worn. We bought another pair as a spare not knowing how this first pair would wear. The reason for the storage is because of the velcro straps. My husband has Alzheimer's so it's easy for him to wear this type.

Comfortable shoes that wear well.

I especially like these shoes because I can wear them with an ankle closure (size 5X). The shoes are holding up well. I have two pairs that I alternate.

Velcro straps are too long.

Women's velcro straps are too long and barely touch men's velcro straps on shoes. I still wear them sometimes. Otherwise these are great shoes.

My feet are getting uncomfortably warm!

The Propet Men Connelly Strap shoes fit well BUT need more breathable mesh so my feet don't feel uncomfortable heat. I had to send them back to revain.com. In comparison I also recently bought a pair of Propet Matthew Strap (by Zappo) which have more mesh and are very comfortable and cool on feet like many other hiking shoe purchases in the past - from different manufacturers.

I liked the look of the shoe and when the price dropped from 110 to 87 I ordered it. I don't usually buy shoes without trying them on because of my wide feet, but the 3x fit perfectly.

Looks good but doesn't fit well

Other shoes in the same size from this manufacturer fit like a glove, this shoe fits casually, the velcro fasteners almost fall to the ground when pulled tight, I don't understand why this brand and this model was given up

10 Average width felt like 10 EEE

The first thing that struck me was how extremely wide they were. I wear medium width. I ordered medium width. What I received was marked medium width. However, they fit as wide as EEE. They were so wide that I ran out of velcro to adjust the width. Only a tiny bit of Velcro held the straps in place. I tried soft hiking socks but that didn't work. I've tried high cushioning hiking socks and that didn't help either. My heel was floating in the heel box because it was too wide. So if I walk on…

One of my two favorite Velcro fasteners

I consider the Propet Connelly Strap to be one of the top two velcro/sports/hiking shoes available for people with wide feet like me. The second is Drew Jimmy. I wear a 9.5 6e, have a high instep and both are comfortable enough to wear all day. I change my running shoes as they last longer, stay fresher and keep my feet fresh.

Great shoes I think

Bought for my husband. Excellent purchase. He's had it for two years now and it still fits great. The shoes only look slightly worn as the velcro has worn away from use. Otherwise, the upper and lower sole hardly look worn. XX was great for my husband who is an 8 1/2 shoe. He loves these shoes, wears them every day and they are so easy to put on. (he is retired) Not a heavy shoe and very comfortable.
