They are well made and easy to assemble. I smeared the tongues with grease, squeezed them, and everything went on. They have been installed for about 2 months and still look great.

I was watching a video online that showed a quick/easy way to remove old caps by prying them off. Not recommended by Putco but works for me. Changed both sides in 4 minutes.

They fit well and are fairly easy to install. I recommend following the instructions and disassembling the mirror rather than tearing it down. Takes a little longer, but less chance of damaging the mirror in the process. I went the disassembly route and it worked fine and took less than an hour.

The right hand mirror had a slightly wider overhang than the factory and did not fit the passenger side. I am driving a truck with mismatched mirrors and am waiting for a response from Putko. The product looks good on the right side. I hope the manufacturer does it right. Putco does not guarantee its product.

I read the instructions, I watched the installation video, I couldn't get past the first step of removing the mirror, I don't know how It takes a lot of force to remove the mirror but I know how much effort it takes to break one, finally gave up and just removed the backing which breaks the replacement part but at least you can get new chrome. Put on the skullcap without breaking the mirror.

that I have fitted to my 2016 Ford and my new 2020 Ford. They compliment the chrome look well, held up well and still look great after 4 1/2 years on my 2016. Their installation requires a little work, a set of plastic tools helped a lot. Don't fall for a YouTube video that says you can cut corners by simply moving a mirror. This will not work with new truck mirrors, you must follow Putco's instructions.

These things are great, match the OEM, look great and are easy to install. I would suggest not following Putco's mirror disassembly instructions. The originals on the truck can be removed with a pry tool or screwdriver and some prying. You can break the tab by pulling it off, but at least you won't damage the mirror or the motor. Just received a pair. Assembles in less than 15 minutes on both sides. Fits my 2017 F-150 XLT. Fits perfectly. Using plastic tools, I took the original skull out from the front. This will take some patience, but look for a larger gap and start from there while pulling it. The originals broke off with a slight tug, only one of the tabs broke, but I have no plans to use them again. That's a great thing. I have the XLT with the chrome package and it really adds a lot without looking too chrome. I watched a youtube video with installation instructions and they recommended not disassembling the entire mirror. Instead, you can use some cap removal tools and just pry the cap off. Put on new ones and you're done. I wish I knew beforehand how to get some scouting tools, it would definitely make things easier. If you use metal tools, the mirror housing can be damaged.
