Keep an eye on your fan for all reasons

Works well. Constantly displays how much vacuum your fan assembly is creating. If you have a fan in a location where it's hard to hear, I highly recommend using this meter. You could see right away that you had good negative air pressure. My fan is in the basement and I can hear it when I walk into the engineering room and know my unit is on and running. In any case, I decided to use one of these so that I can control the work of the fan. Some reviews of the fan unit say that several years of…

This is a simple sensor to measure the suction level of your radon fan and verify that your radon protection system is working properly. I've added some caulking to the tubing that goes into the PVC pipe (but it still comes off the gauge if needed). You don't need a lot of suction power for a successful system. The mine currently uses 0.35 water column and has significantly reduced radon levels. If you are building your own radon protection system, consider some of the following items: Model…

Check your pressure switches.

My history with the manometer. Great tool, good quality and affordable. I use mine as a vacuum pressure switch troubleshooting tool. I've come up with an inexpensive way to test your oven pressure switches to pretty much determine what pressure they open and close at! Obtain an Ortho "Dial N Spray" (or similar sprayer), remove the siphon tube from the hole at the bottom of the screw nozzle/bottle cap and insert your own vacuum tube into the hole at the bottom of the cap. Connect this hose to…
