    Good camera, easy to install.

This camera took less than 1 hour to install. The hardest part was stretching it from the radio to the trunk. The picture shown is actually wrong. The one I received has an extra wire. This wire connects to the "spare" wire (tan on my power harness) then connect the other end to the power wire in the trunk. Black to ground on the reverse light, the other 2 on the positive side of the reverse light. Install the camera. It is adjusted by two small screws on either side of the camera. When you…

    Good Camera: Car Backup Cameras

I installed the PYLE10 on a Sunday and I think it works fantastic. The picture is very clear, so the reviews that gave a different experience may not have installed properly. I ended up connecting the reverse lights and ground wires from my tow cable to my Nissan Xterra. I got this camera specifically to secure my boat trailer. I simulated a jerk on the street and was dead on the first try. The only thing I would like to say that I don't think is camera specific is that it's very difficult to…

    • Available in White Only

This camera works perfectly, the video is clear and at night you can see everything as you would in daylight. The cable that came with the camera wasn't long enough for my wife's van, so I had to buy plugs and run another 3 feet of video cable. But that should be more than enough for the car. My only issue is that the company didn't include any instructions which I looked at on YouTube didn't help. I thought about how everything should work and then decided how I want to set it up. I connected…

The camera is normal for the price

The camera is normal for the price I paid for it. However, I was disappointed that it had a very basic image with installation instructions that were completely wrong. and had to figure out how to install online by doing a search, which actually wasn't that easy. Quick guide: black = ground / neutral red = positive (I used reverse lights to turn this on, just remember you need to take the best route for you.) Connect the red wire to the hot wire (at a traffic light or somewhere ) and a black…

    Average price and performance

For $30 you get what you pay for. Got this because I bought a head that could take it and thought it was novelty. I have a big, long truck with tinted rear windows, so a backup camera would have been nice, but it wasn't necessary. And that's a good thing, because with this camera, that's pretty much all it's good for. First, the picture quality is okay. Even in bright light, it's not very visible. Surprisingly, the quality in the dark is about the same, so night vision works well, only the…

Generally good - buy video extension first

Video quality looks good, cables are thick enough not to break during installation or after installation. I used to have a Boyo device with thin cables that broke. In most cases I will blame the installation I rented for this. The pyle box has stronger cables (I installed them myself) and after a few months the pyle box is still working fine. The pyle block is physically "bigger" than the boyo. This is due to the addition of LED lights, which in theory make for better night vision. I've found…
