Very fragile - my new review

This material is very fragile. Much more than the original Squimito products. Not of much use for squirmy wormies. Can be easily damaged by sharp objects or hooks.

Pros
  • Thanks
Cons
  • Can be easily damaged by sharp objects or hooks

Secret weapon - my new review

These things are awsome for trout . I tied some up for steelhead at night since they they were glow in the dark. Steelhead fishing was lousy for everyone that evening .but when I tied on this worm 15" rainbow trout were all over. Got four lost several others dew to harmless hooks .I was on the northfork of the Lewis river .fished for thirty plus years and that was the first time I have even seen a trout there .pretty cool little worms I think try them out there cheap and they work .

Pros
  • 23 inch rainbow with first cast.
Cons
  • Can be difficult to tie onto fishing line

Make sure to fish these next to a purist!

Along with mop flies, the squrimy wormy is the bane of the fly fishing purist who thinks any "fly" not made from imported silk and hand raised birds, bunnies and other woodland creatures is sacrilege. Fact is, squirmy wormys work and are easy to tie.Not much to say about these, they do what you want them to do. You will get many years of worms from this pack at a good deal. Get some and tick off a purist today!

Pros
  • Really good choice for making a hook look like a worm.
Cons
  • Can be expensive compared to other fly tying materials

Exactly what I expected from this product. Tons of .

Exactly what I expected from this product. Tons of flies can be made with this! Be aware that your thread will most likely cut into the material due to the fact that it is extremely soft and pliable. You should lay down a layer of dubbing on the hook and then make sure that any thread that touches the plastic have dubbing on it as well. Search (squirmy wormy) on Youtube for details.

Pros
  • Excellent product caught fish the first day
Cons
  • Prone to attracting unwanted attention from non-targeted fish species

A lifetime supply of squirmy wormy's

Not sure I'll live long enough to use all these up, luckily I have a dozen guys in my Project Healing Waters group that I can share them with. A whole new learning experience in fly tying as normal tying techniques can't be used as the thread will cut right thru the worms. dubbing up heavier thread with a like color helps a great deal. I'm going to experiment with putting a UV cure section in the middle to help keep the thread from cutting the worms.

Pros
  • Ties well.
Cons
  • May not be durable enough for heavy use

Worse stuff on the market

I have been have used squirmy worms for years this is by far the worse material I have ever used no matter what size tread you use it cuts the material when this material get hot it melts off the shank of the hook . hairline makes a much better product I ordered 5 bags of this stuff due to the fact I tie flys for over 100 people DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Pros
  • Something new to try I hope it works service was good
Cons
  • May require frequent replacement due to wear and tear

Disappointed. for my opinion

They are very very soft and easily cut by the thread used to tie them to hooks. even when I'm being extra gentle. I dont know what I could do differently but so far, I just don't think these will work out for me.

Pros
  • Easy to use. Color is perfect.
Cons
  • Can be difficult to store and transport due to its wiggly texture

Absolute steal! best in my review

Shipped fast, came in a beautiful package, and was an absolute great deal. I forgot the math but I believe cutting each strand in half will give you 100-120 flies (assuming you’re tying your own) which is far better than spending $2 on a pre tied fly. I recommend buying a pack of size 8-12 hooks and some brown thread. I’d recommend buying another pack but there’s so many I might never run out!

Pros
  • Good product as described but a little softer than I thought it would be
Cons
  • Material was a little difficult to work with and broke easily when tying to hook, Be careful
