Exactly what I expected from Samsonite

I bought my latest Samsonite collage backpack after destroying Jansport and another bag in two months. Samsonite has served me for more than 12 years! I washed it every 6 months, skimmed the concrete regularly and the zippers never broke! This bag has the same feeling of sturdiness, material types and double-stitched thick zippers. I'm very sure I'll get 5-15 years out of it.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Sturdy and versatile

I use this backpack for travelling. I always carry a tablet or laptop with me that needs to be protected. First, it's Sampsonite. It means quality. It is then carefully padded to protect your electronics. Finally, I like the division of the compartments. It has a small zippered document pocket on the upper exterior that's great for your passport and boarding passes. I also use this little pouch for my phone and wallet when going through TSA security checkpoints. There are also small zipped…

I bought this backpack for its size and sturdiness.

I bought this backpack for its size and durability. Samsonite is well known in my family having traveled the world for many years. I am currently a full-time college student seeking my PhD and a full-time single mom. In the last week and a half of receipt it has already passed the test of a toddler, an inquisitive cat, four 1.5" binders, two 3-part notebooks and several binders with space for a larger and a 17" computer. Apart from the constant raising and lowering, it shows no signs of…

The perfect large travel backpack for your back

I've been looking for the perfect backpack - here it is. I've worked as a diplomat abroad, so I've traveled a lot - 10-20 hour flights, long layovers, etc. However, I've obsessively researched various large travel backpacks. After seeing it in the Samsonite store, I bought it on Amazon. I like the little pocket on the top - I put my wallet and phone in for quick and easy access. The front pocket is great for a route and other easy-to-access items. a separate laptop compartment and a central…

Well made and designed

I bought this bag mainly because it has a luggage loop that easily attaches to a wheeled suitcase. I'm tired of my old laptop bag constantly falling out of my suitcase (nobody wants to carry a backpack if they don't need to). But after a few months of carrying this bag, you realize how well thought out the design is. . The padding is solid and fairly roomy - I can easily fit all my laptop peripherals plus a few extra items, and the large side pockets actually fit my large 40oz water bottle…

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Goes with

The picture shows two bags of Tectonic 1 and Tectonic 2. I ordered the orange one but got the black version which you can see in the other picture. I kept the bag despite the mistake because I didn't really care about the color. I've been using the Tectonic 1 for 4 years, in college, camping and although it was a little heavy it protected my laptop and gave me enough space. for other things. It was very durable. Never had any complaints. The adjustable laptop holder on the Tectonic 1 is not on…

Best bag I've ever had

Disc. I am a college student studying to become a Computer Network Support Specialist and I feel that I would definitely choose if I need a great secure bag for my laptop for class and future internship for basic computer tasks and troubleshooting and It's a bag, although it cost me almost $90. But the way I see it, the price doesn't matter if something helps you significantly. I've been waiting a while to post a review of the second generation Samsonite Tectonic backpack, but I had to test it…

  • Something inside

  • Minor issues

Misleading photo, but still a great backpack.

backpack has good placement of pockets and lots of details to organize cords and random electronics but I have one complaint that's very important to me; As you can see from the photos, there are 4 molle straps on each shoulder strap, useful for attaching pockets to store various things, such as cell phones, portable chargers, and flashlights. This bag does not have a molle system, this picture is actually for a medium sized tectonics bag. I would like to add a phone holder to the straps so I…
