It's ok for the money

Cable creaks, lock doesn't like rain very much After rain I use WD40 and the keys are made very cheaply, I had to go to top hardware and new keys

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Only available in black

Great cable: Hardware

Great lock. It only needs oiling every few weeks as I have it outside on a beach where there is strong wind and salt water. But the oil helps every time. This length allows me to tie 4 kayaks to the rack. Love it.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Minor issues

Good product! Suitable for padlocks and deadbolts

I read several reviews before purchasing and had the same experience as others. The lock is "cheeky" BUT.... Like any other lock you buy, padlocks, door locks and car keyholes sometimes need lubricating due to the weather. I have used gasoline gel (food grade) and the lock works great! The lock/cable is used to secure my golf cart at work.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Expensive

Great lock with key just in case

Great lock that has stood the test of time. We used it to seal our expensive grill, and the rubberized tube that protects the cable can withstand even very high temperatures (although it does melt a bit). The lock itself is strong and resists dirt and grime thanks to the key lock cover. Everything is great about this lock and cable set. Very happy with this purchase. A++

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Good for the most part, but...

OK.: Padlocks with key

The product looks very good. I use it to cordon off my fence. My only concern is that the lock is very difficult to open and close after less than three weeks of use. I was very disappointed because the advert said it was all weather. I almost threw the lock away and bought a new one. Good thing I remembered to spray the lock with anti-rust spray and after spraying it works perfectly again. So this is my comment and suggestion in case you have the same problem as me.

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • Not sure

Good quality, keeps the weather good, I would buy again

Used all summer on a very long trip 6000+ miles and worked great. The lock is rock solid and long enough to loop around Pelican crates on the rear cargo bed, and I felt better leaving them on the outer shelf overnight in hotels. It's a little stiff, but I still really like it. The lock appears to be very good and has had no problems even with rain etc. I like the little lid that covers the keyhole. This is a quality material, but as with any other cable, a pair of good, heavy-duty wire cutters…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Upgradeable

The security cable is of good quality, but the lock is not very good.

Bought last minute for races (in addition to future hikes) to block the Honda EU2200i generator for a day when we weren't in the pits as Honda generators are the main targets, which can be stolen by an adventurous thief because they are very portable. The lock fell apart on me, the bottom black part separating, causing the blue case to slide over the lock, which unlocked some sort of PIA from time to time. As for the security cable I have nothing negative to say, bear in mind that anything can…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not bad
