Super strong bond best in my review

I used this for a small acrylic hinge that had broken. It made a really strong bond when I didn't think it would as the hinge has a lot of force applied to a small area.

Pros
  • Bonds quickly, allowing for prompt project completion
Cons
  • Can be difficult to mix or stir thoroughly

Works well for PLA in my review

Bought this for gluing PLA 3DP parts together, as I've successfully used IPS Weld-on 4 for melting/welding PLA together in the past. This is a bit runnier than I was hoping for, but it seems to hold PLA parts together reasonably well with clamp pressure. I tested this for acrylic (which is the actual intended use), and it works quite well. My only complaint is the tube squirts out way too easily. Packaging has much room for improvement for this product, but the actual glue is good.

Pros
  • Contact Cements
Cons
  • May not work effectively in humid environments

Good but messy - my new review

Amazing adhesion power. The only thing I don’t like is how messy it can get. When you first open it the glue just pours out super fast and makes a mess so you have to be careful. It would be nice to have a more precise applicator. Also since the tube is made of metal when you start running out of the glue it’s very hard to squeeze it out.

Pros
  • Clear finish ensures the adhesive will remain invisible
Cons
  • Can crack or break over time

I've now cemented everything in my house

I love this stuff. If it's hard plastic, you can cement it with this stuff. I initially purchased it to fix an aquarium protein skimmer that I broke, which it worked great for. Since then though I've used it for various other plastic bonding needs. I was able to cement a PVC holder to some type of plastic magnet after failing to get a good bond with super glue. I've also done a few other repairs with it. Only issue is, and this is probably my screw up, when it starts coming out, unless you cap…

Pros
  • Can bond plastic to other materials, such as metal or wood
Cons
  • May require multiple coats or applications for optimal bonding

Forms a strong weld, but has a steep learning curve.

I constructed my first 1/4 in thick acrylic box using lucite brand pmma sheets. You have to apply the adhesive before you assemble the object; this is not easy (for two reasons). The adhesive is too viscous to apply to a dry-fit box the way that one would with Weld-on #4 or #3 ithrough capillary action. So you apply a bead to the edges then assemble. #16 pours out of the tube, so you have to tip it carefully. The cement at the tip dries quickly and can stall application, especially if you stop…

Pros
  • Shipped quickly, works very well at bonding acrylics, if you need to bond acrylics, this is the ticket!
Cons
  • Can be messy and difficult to clean up

Great product. best in my review

You have to be very fast to join the 2 acrylic pieces together, otherwise it dries quick. I keep it in fridge to prevent dry up. I do that with all super glues.

Pros
  • Great product. Would definitely buy again
Cons
  • Can be difficult to remove once applied

Great glue for Plexiglas, read me

I used this glue to fix a robotic car project that was made from laser cut Plexiglas. It bonds perfectly, perhaps even slightly melting the Plexiglas where joints meet which is what you want.Warning: Like other reviewers have stated, the glue out of the tube is lower viscosity than you might expect of a "glue"; more like a liquid. Gravity alone will make the glue drip out of the tube if you are not careful.I held the tube mostly horizontal so I could control a slow flowing glue bead. Plus I…

Pros
  • Economical tube size ensures that product won't dry out before it can be used up
Cons
  • Can be difficult to remove excess adhesive after application

It worked.: my feedback

After research about plastic types I ordered this product to repair the white hard plastic parts of the ice maker in a GE refrigerator bought about 2005. This glue was said to be the precise formulation I needed. It worked perfectly & saved me $$$ because I didn't have to replace the parts. Still working!I haven't needed to glue that type of plastic since then, so I can't speak to any other use. There are other parts (shelves, drawers, etc.) that appear to be the same plastic. I fully expect the…

Pros
  • Dries clear for a seamless bond
Cons
  • May evaporate quickly once exposed to air

An Excellent Adhesive! Better Than The Leading Cyanoacrylate!

Bonds to more plastics than the leading instant glue! Works quickly, but leaves you enough time to position your piece. We use this adhesive in our business; we repair a LOT of plastic items. This glue has never let me down. It is excellent!

Pros
  • Will not cause any discoloration or staining of plastic surfaces
Cons
  • May require specialized storage conditions such as refrigeration

Great alternative adhesive for Californians

Since we can't buy real MEK in California, this is a great alternative. This contains some MEK, but not enough to tip off the overlords here, and welds ABS quickly.

Pros
  • Used it to bond acrylic and it worked nicely
Cons
  • May require significant pressure or force to apply

Issues with shipping

This was to be used for an acrylic sign, and the product itself was as expected; a syrupy glue that works well, though it can be a bit messy. The issue for me was that the tube was punctured and all over the bag it came in when it arrived. Best Buy support immediately refunded it, which was nice, but slightly annoying that I had to find one locally.

Pros
  • Can withstand high pressure and stress without losing adhesion
Cons
  • May require specialized tools for optimal application

It Really Works - my new review

I bought this item not knowing how it would really work, though I really bought it to build a filtration water tank. I tried it with two pieces of plexiglass from a recent project. It glued the two pieces very well, very strong as I have tried to break the bond by hand. It still held. I then left in water for about two days. The joint was unharmed and still perfect. I am confident it will make a great water tank. I will update when I am done.

Pros
  • Bonds with high strength even with low surface area coverage
Cons
  • Can cause chemical burns or irritation if not handled correctly

Great glue good for me

I bought this to repair a plexiglass windshield for a fishing boat. The windshield was completely broke in to 3 parts. This glue was amazing. A little hard to work with a first because it's pretty runny, but once I got it figured out, it wasn't bad and is a great glue.

Pros
  • Great for repairing plastic items
Cons
  • Can have a short shelf life or expiration date

Good stuff! for my opinion

Bonds extremely well. Is very thin and runny though. Whatever you're trying to adhere together needs to be clamped together after the product is applied since it does not bond immediately. Definitely recommend for acrylic.

Pros
  • Stronger and faster less than one minute!
Cons
  • May dry out or become unusable if not stored properly

Great for acrylic! best in my review

One of the best glues I have bought. Made my own AIO filtration system for my saltwater rimless tank and it was great! Hold up strong and quick. It dried up clear on the black acrylic that I was using. FYI it does have a very strong smell.

Pros
  • Strong bonding capabilities guaranteed to hold tight
Cons
  • Can be messy and difficult to clean off tools or surfaces

It works with PLA on my review.

Finally, an adhesive that works properly to hold PLA together. A better-directed applicator would be a bonus as this product has a fairly thin consistency that runs easily out of the nozzle on the tube. Easy to make a mess if you aren't careful.

Pros
  • Can be used to repair cracks and chips in plastic surfaces
Cons
  • Can damage surfaces or materials if not used correctly

Great weldon alternative

I use this stuff fairly regularly for my aquarium. It is the same stuff as weld on 3 and 4, just a thicker consistency. Like syrup. Would recommend for sealing acrlyic holes/adhering acrylic sheets.

Pros
  • Supports a wide range of plastic materials
Cons
  • Can create a mess if spilled or applied incorrectly
