LOVE these toe downs, great for ladies

Love these boat/trailer safety straps, secure an great for ladies that have hard time with ratchet type! Jet skis only need the short ones which these are perfect for!

Pros
  • Very sturdy straps. Love the spring clip on the hooks. Wish I had replaced my old ones long before this
Cons
  • The ratchet straps may be too bulky and difficult to store when not in use, taking up valuable space in your boat or garage

Not made as well as they could be.

Purchased the 2 pack, which I don't see is currently available.I had a set that I bought from Cabelas which lasted 14 years (straps are starting to fray). These are the same type other than the strap material is thinner (not by a lot) and the rivets are sloppy in both the lever and the cross bar. Even though they have the same rating as my 14 year old tie downs, they don't seem to be made as well. Will be returning.

Pros
  • Very easy to use and hold secure no need to worry about your load👍👍
Cons
  • The 1-inch width of the straps may not be suitable for larger boats, creating a potential safety issue if the straps are unable to securely hold the weight of the boat

Dis not hold up good for me

Purchased Nov 2019 and used just a few times. I always rinsed after use and it was never exposed directly to salt water. This summer, approximately 6 months after purchasing the metal bar inside the buckle assembly broke off (rust) so would no longer lock down. I checked the other one and doing the same thing, it just hasn't broken yet. Would not buy again

Pros
  • Excellent easy to use
Cons
  • If not properly maintained and checked before each use, ratchet straps can fray or become damaged, increasing the risk of a dangerous failure while transporting your boat

NOT a ratchet on my review.

The description says it's a ratchet. It is not.It is a cam. There is a difference, and know nothing is secured well with a cam, only a ratchet.Zero star for false advertising.

Pros
  • Easy to use, love the Velcro loop to hold the rest of the strap. Great for jet ski tie downs!
Cons
  • Ratchet straps can be time-consuming and frustrating to use, especially if you're not familiar with the process of tightening and securing them properly
