umbrella of umbrellas.

I bought this umbrella in addition to another shedrain umbrella I own. This is larger and suitable for 2 people. I got it while taking my 12 year old daughter to school. Sometimes she freaks out when it's windy and she's wearing her own. This umbrella fits the two of us comfortably. It's a little heavier than what I have for one person, so it took me a while to get used to it. The other opens automatically with no auto close, and this one is larger and has both, hence the weight. Definitely…

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • No instructions

I have used this umbrella for myself and my colleagues for most of the last 10 years. They get a lot of use (we're out every day, whatever the weather) and they hold up better than any other umbrella we've tried, not to mention they're very large considering how compact they are closed. In my experience, even the best umbrellas wear out after many years of use and are usually replaced every 3 or 4 years. I just noticed that these umbrellas come with a LIFETIME guarantee. When I found out about…

Pros
  • Works great for me
Cons
  • Damaged

Not as durable as previous models [but good warranty]. . .

I received the shedrain as a gift 15 years ago. After about ten years, the fabric finally fell off one of the needles. Thanks to these great features, I bought another one in September/October 2018. I noticed a markedly different build quality, but figured the lower stiffness should allow the spoke to flex. with the wind. Unfortunately, although it works well in difficult conditions, just a year after purchase, the fabric came loose. They come with a lifetime guarantee, so I hope they stand by…

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Requires base

Overall impressed. Looking forward to new experiences

This umbrella feels very durable compared to other umbrellas, especially for the stem and canopy. Auto open/close is awesome. I have never seen such a large ratio of open coverage area to closed size. Big enough for two people and my protective backpack, but easily fits into the back of the seat. Watch out for negative reviews. Maybe it's the flame of that umbrella. There is one entry on Revain with mostly negative reviews. I wonder if some of them get mixed up here. Because of its strength…

  • Quality construction

Um what happened?

I have bought umbrellas from this company 3 or 4 times over the years. In general they are very well preserved. I had a small issue with very strong winds/rain (this can happen in downtown Chicago). When my last umbrella had a spoke problem a few years later, I decided to buy a new one from this company and save the other one for emergencies. Well the new one arrived a few weeks ago and we haven't had any rain lately so I haven't needed it. I needed it today. It rained heavily after I got off…

Pros
  • Brilliantly done
Cons
  • A few little things

Works well so far

umbrellas I've never really used. I've never seen a particular need, if I get wet, I'll get wet. But we've had record rainfall lately and it's getting annoying, especially since I've been shaving my head and it's still over 30 here in Wisconsin. It gets COLD very quickly. I wanted an automatic as I preferred to just open the car door, reach out my hand and push the button to open it and save the inside of my car (and my head). ) from wet when I got out of the car. Since it could fit in a car…

Pros
  • understandably also for the old
Cons
  • something else

Men's umbrella for MY very rare use

Says auto open works fine / auto close is not auto but manual to reset springs and length. Closing the ad on click is misleading OR I just can't figure out that the auto close feature works! / A bit heavy for a human due to the size of the canopy and construction. Put it back in your pocket tightly so it doesn't snap - wouldn't like it if used A LOT. The description of the thought made the item look more like a simple one-handed operation, in any case it still needs to be checked and found out…
