Very nice pattern; good fit

Made view D for my granddaughter. She wanted this dress after we visited Colonial Williamsburg this summer. The details of the pattern are perfectly coordinated, the size fits perfectly. It's been a few decades since I last made a dress, but I had no trouble making this one. To be authentic, I used 100% cotton fabric that I bought from a store that usually sells quilted fabrics. My granddaughter chose certain fabrics.

Pros
  • Recommended fabrics: fines, satin and calico.
Cons
  • Something different

Great pattern!

This pattern is easy to make if you are an intermediate seamstress. The instructions are clear and the measurements of the finished dress match the measurements in the size chart. The variations were such that you could easily mix and match elements from different options for a customized look. This worked great for my daughter's Colonial Day project at school. The end result was so high quality that my daughter's teacher thought the dress was store bought!

Pros
  • These head-to-toe looks are perfect for theatre, Halloween or historical re-enactments.
Cons
  • Available in white only
