The product can be used, I expected a little more.

I had him for 3 years. I put up with a whale on the A350 for only a month, and therefore I rather wanted something more serious. I endured this glass for 2 months, after which I discovered that Tamron 17-50 / 2.8 is many times better. Sent 16-105 to stock. A year later, I tested it and seemed to have reconciled with him, but Taron still took on serious matters. But 16-105 still got me and I took it to Savelovsky. And it should be noted that the credibility of the glorious Sony company has been…

    Pros
    • Good range of focal lengths.
    Cons
    • Vignetting on SHU. XA can also give out 105 mm. Loses sharpness in the corners (and sometimes even cooks porridge).

Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good purchase.

Undoubtedly, the best lens for Alpha with APS-C in its category, while being versatile - you can shoot everything and everywhere. And wide-angle, and almost telephoto. I don’t know about the travel zoom - there you can use some seedy little 28-300 tamron with the mark “fifth grade, well, almost no marriage” - there HA so HA. And with SAL16150, you can work wonders, if your hands grow from where you need to.

    Pros
    • The lens is ideal in its price category and it simply has no equal. Whoever talks about HA and distortion - apparently, they have not seen them on zoom lenses from other companies. Also, consider the very wide range of focal lengths. I just don't understand how SONY engineers did it. Aberrations and distortions are minimal even at a fully open aperture, you cover it by one stop - the picture becomes almost perfect. I'm not talking about f7.1 and above.
    Cons
    • The focus ring travel is quite small, plus it rotates with quite a lot of effort. However, I almost always use autofocus on the desired area, so it's not particularly critical.

An ideal product for any type of consumer.

The lens for beginners performs its functions at 100%. Slightly clumsy. But this is not reflected in the photo. If you choose good and not the best, to the extent of its versatility, it will delight you. I take it on hikes and trips where it’s a pity to take expensive glasses. There are no problems with alignment. With its pros. Simple, convenient, practical. Works great with CMOS. The trunk does not fall out, and does not roll out. From 16 to 105 all FRs are working. At 16 mm, no…

The lens is really, really good in almost everything. Sharp, with a beautiful picture, fast in focusing, quiet, not very heavy. With an excellent zoom range (x6.25) and excellent FR at the short end, which allows you to shoot even in tight spaces. But! But! I have had two such lenses on my cameras in five years. In turn. The first one after repair in a professional Sony workshop (I won’t say which one) had another similar failure a year later. And then a month ago, the second one broke. Both…

    Pros
    • All optics, quiet AF,
    Cons
    • Tight zoom, so that the rubber ring of the zoom loosened. Unreliable mechanics for tight work.

It was a reasonable purchase, I will order more.

A good all-round lens, but not worth the price. Has pros: Large range of focal lengths, small dimensions for such a range of focal lengths, small geometry distortion at the extreme focal lengths, sharp at a certain aperture (different at different focal lengths) and in good lighting, relatively fast AF, availability in stores. With its cons. XA over the entire range of focal lengths, autofocus is rare, but it happens that it misses even in good lighting (it’s good that it doesn’t drive back and

    Very satisfied: Lenses

The lens is perfect. If it has been used, then very little, no utensils at all, even on the mounting ring. Fast delivery and good packaging. Will definitely be ordering from Peacock Camera again.

    Ideal travel lens

I did a lot of research and read all the reviews when I bought this lens with my new Sony DSLR. This is a great travel lens and it takes amazing photos! I definitely recommend this lens.

Excellent quality lens for SLR lenses

We bought a similar lens from Craigslist. I was shocked at the difference between the lenses. There are razor-sharp images. That's a lot of money, but slightly shaky shots aren't worth anything.

    Pros
    • Excellent overall quality
    Cons
    • Fairly good

    Great lens for Alpha DSLRs.

This lens has become my main lens on the A580. It covers most of the range I need, except for long distance wildlife shots. Images are very sharp at full zoom, almost as sharp as my best 50mm prime lens.

    • Price

    • Useless features

    Good lens for the price

I think I've found the best affordable kit lens replacement I got with my Sony Alpha A300. CZ 18-60mm didn't fit my budget. I also tried the Tamron AF 17-50mm but had to return it due to a bad copy and it was a bit short for some of the photos I wanted to take. I found this lens to be a good compromise between price and range. and quality.

    • Dope 🔥
    Cons
    • Crumpled

Your all-in-one lens for Sony/Minolta camera bodies

From ultra wide angle to portrait to medium zoom, this lens goes with it all! For Minolta case owners, it makes the old 24-105 obsolete. The lower end of the focal length should handle most group shots even with a digital camera conversion factor of 1.5. And the fact that the aperture switches to f/5.6 at around 30mm shouldn't affect image quality in any way, especially if you're using flash and/or shooting indoors. Don't hesitate, get this lens.

If you can only buy one Sony Alpha lens, buy this one!

I can't explain why I overlooked this lens and bought other Sigma, Tamron and Sony lenses for my Sony Alpha cameras first. What mistake! I've never been satisfied with the performance of less expensive (under $600) walking lenses when shooting with the very good Sony 24-70mm Carl Zeiss G lens. I recently bought and tried a Sony 16-105mm lens. I've found it to give results very similar to a G glass lens and I'm actually quite impressed. I recently portrayed 100 students during a choir tour. All…
