READ THESE headings when using them.

Love them for all of the reasons above - one caveat - to a client who almost dropped the mic - I had the same issue but upon closer inspection I realized that >> you're the Stoppers must ensure the pin breaks off completely. <<I have several, and some are easier to insert than others. I wrote this as a "HEADZUP" for other users rather than a review. I think these puppies have 5 stars but I'm giving them 4 so other users can take notice.

Great find for accessories

I needed two of these for my mics. With the first one I didn't know what I was looking for until I found it and unfortunately I found it at a local record store. They were priced much higher than they should have been and I didn't know it at the time. So when I needed a second one I looked it up here and was very grateful for the cost here. A great option for quickly turning the mic on and off from a mic stand. Very happy with it and it works great with my Shure SM7B and Blue Compass mic stand.

BEWARE OF SCREWING!

I had trouble bolting it to my Shure Super 55. It stuck a little but then it was very difficult to screw it on. I checked and rechecked the cross threads. Once he entered the rotation, he couldn't. I unscrewed it and felt as I unscrewed the lock nut that something caught it. If you look closely at the filaments, you can see a flat spot on the filaments - If that doesn't twist easily, STOP or you'll ruin your expensive mic! It appears to be a good product but the quality control is poor or I…

Good quality! Not compatible with Atlas LO-2B.

This is a cheaper version of the Atlas LO-2B adapter and they do the job perfectly. On the devices I've received, the button isn't as smooth as the Atlas counterparts, but other than that they appear to be the same. One important thing to note is that these adapters are slightly different in size from Atlas devices, so the inside of that device will not connect to the Atlas device's plug and vice versa. If you already have a lot of Atlas devices, stick with it! But if you start with them, they…

Looks good, fits well and feels solid

This just arrived today along with the MS7201CH chrome stage mic stand I ordered. I enjoyed putting it together with my Shure Super 55. I didn't have to remove the star of the mic stand or the quick nut. I have left everything as received to show it fits as is. He feels strong. The problem with these mics is that when you really want to move around the stage during energetic songs without jerking the stand all over the place, they slow you down. A quick release gives me that freedom. It fits…

Big time saver for pro recording studio.

Many of our microphones have their own custom shock mount. Unscrewing the brackets every time you change the mic was too time consuming, and we didn't want to fray the threads in them either, as some of them are a bit pricey. Works great with the EA87 shock and easily holds the first generation Neumann U87. We bought another one for the Sony suspension for our Sony C800-G and it also works great. The best thing is that they are all the same, so we can leave a base on the stand and separate all…

The best solution to replace vintage mics

So, I have a large collection of vintage mics from the late 30's - early 80's. What do all these things have in common? They're designed to screw directly onto a mic stand, making changing them a bit of a hassle. In addition, the proximity to the tripod connection and cable connection makes problem-free positioning difficult in many cases. However, several of these Quik-Release adapters are insanely easy to swap out. These little things are durable, attractive and most importantly, they WORK…
