Description of Stant 12040 Cooling Pressure Threaded

Stant's Engine Cooling System Pressure Tester adapters make it quick and easy to hook up a Stant Cooling System Pressure Tester to just about any automotive cooling system. Many vehicles, due to manufacturer specific cooling system designs, require unique adapters to connect the vehicle's coolant filler neck to the Coolant Pressure Tester. The 12040 Tester System adapter allows the testing equipment to attach to vehicle's filler neck. Metal construction; anodized finish. Fits many late model Ford, Lincoln-Mercury, and Mazda vehicles.

Avoid This Cooling Pressure Tester

As a result of using this product, i found that it leaks at the threads and doesn't hold pressure consistently. Even with automotive sealant, the leaks persisted. The only positive aspect was the ease of use .Unfortunately, the cons far outweigh the pros, making this product not worth the investment..

Pros
  • Easy to use and install
Cons
  • Requires a specific thread size, limiting compatibility with some vehicles

Excellent Tool for Testing Cooling Systems

Based on my experience this tool is a must-have for ANY automotive technician. The pressure readings are accurate and consistent, which saves time troubleshooting cooling system issues. The tool is also durable and reliable. The only con is that it requires an air compressor to use, but that's to be expected with any pressure testing equipment. Overall, I highly recommend this product for any automotive diagnostic tool kit..

Pros
  • Provides accurate pressure readings for cooling system testing
Cons
  • May leak if not installed properly

Used and abused. Fuel Pressure Gauge

Item has been used quite a bit, had many coolant stains and numerous dings and dings, judging by the number of dings/abrasions it looks like it has been used/worn for many years dirt accumulated. I suspect someone ordered a new one and sent the old one back to Revane.

Pros
  • Tools and Equipment
Cons
  • Compatibility
