Replacement Lamp with Housing - STAR-LAMP 1070 Bulb for BenQ W1070 W1080ST HT1075 HT1085ST Projector Review

I couldn't get this case to work so I had to remove the bulb and put it in my old case, bummer. But the brightness was good. Only lasted 1500 hours, not 2500-3000 as advertised but much cheaper than the factory benq. Overall not bad.

I just changed the bulbs on my Benq W1070 but for some reason it didn't work. So I bought this replacement along with the case and it solved my problems. I think the real test will be how long it lasts, but I went straight to it and it's been working for a few weeks now.

Bought about 4-5 months ago and was working fairly well, but the heat from the lamp caused a small fire (I suspect dust has collected somewhere). As a result, the lamp worked less than 1000 hours.

The first bulb I received was junk, it didn't work at all. The company refunded my purchase and sent me a new lightbulb. I haven't had any problems in the last six months of using it. This projector is our only "TV" in the house and we use it all the time. I cannot distinguish this bulb from the original one that came with the projector.

Bought this item for my Benq W1070. The first came and didn't work, the projector said the lamp didn't work. So I went back for a replacement, a second one came in and it has the same bulb problem. I had to order from another supplier to ensure my projector would work properly and function properly. Maybe the lamp was incompatible or the Star lamp was defective both times. In any case, I sent it back for a refund.

Update: Worked for 7 months and burned out. Luckily I took out supplementary insurance and got my money back. I would buy again because the quality is great. just hope it lasts for a while. Downgraded my rating to 4 stars. --------- I used 3-4 bulbs in my BenQ and this bulb is the brightest I've ever had! Honestly I can't believe this third party lamp was of such great quality at half the price. I think we'll see how long that lasts. but so far it's cool.

Lamp exploded 192 days after installation, ie 12 days after warranty expired. I didn't think much about it at the time because I figured it was just a bad decision on my part to use a low quality lightbulb, but after installing a new lightbulb I realized how weak that lightbulb had been all along was . My new bulb seems to be 2x brighter and I think I never noticed it when I first installed it because in a few months we got used to the original 3 year old bulb.
