Well, I ordered this remote starter kit and I was a bit optimistic, but when I received the product I immediately opened it and watched the video how to install it. Had my wife's 2018 Highlander running and the remote start feature was up and running in 15 minutes. The product was very easy to install and very easy to follow the videos. I would give this product 10 stars if I could. The first one I got was installed in my wife's 2017 Toyota Highlander. Installation wasn't difficult. The hardest part was getting your hands into the tight spots. The installation took a maximum of 30 minutes. It's nice that it even comes with a panel removal tool. My wife bought a 2019 Toyota Highlander Platinum Limited. I was very surprised to buy a high end model that didn't have any kind of remote start. If you're at all comfortable with it, it's a fairly simple plug and play setup. It hides well under dashboards and all wiring harnesses fit perfectly into existing wiring ports. No splicing required, just disconnect and reconnect. Probably the hardest part was removing the dashboard and trying to make sure I didn't break any of the plastic connectors.
