DOESN'T WORK - Computer Accessories and Peripherals

This product just doesn't suit me in terms of quality. I've tried every level of refresh but the screen still doesn't align and gets weird after a few seconds. I've tried getting product support but the Startech website doesn't help at all. Please don't buy this if you want something that really works!

4K60 works great! to DVI-HDMI adapters

This is for the '4K60 DisplayPort to HDMI' adapter (it's kind of annoying how many different products are grouped together in reviews and Q&A sections). Works as advertised at 2160p (4K) at 60Hz 4:4:4. sound works too. I used this on my Ubuntu Linux machine - I replaced the previous DP to HDMI adapter as it only supported 4K30. Attached is an image from the xrandr output on my computer showing all the display modes supported by this DP-HDMI. Adapter with my Sony X900E 4K TV.

    My search continues

I bought this active adapter to connect my computer graphics (GTX 980 ti) to my 70 inch Vizio M series quantum TV via Displayport. My newest display (of a different brand) worked but had no sound. This audio works, although stereo is the only option, but the display only works at 4K 30Hz, not 60Hz. I can select 60, but when I try to apply it, the setting reverts to 30Hz. And it's 4k 30Hz with RGB Limited Color. Trying to even set it to 4-2-0 Full reverts to RGB Limited. The HDMI cable I use…

    Does not support Ultrawide/21:9/3440x1440.

This adapter does not work, it only boosts 30Hz at 3440x1440 at most, if at all. Tested on two different computers, both capable of 4k without problems (HP 840 G3 and dedicated computer with 1080 graphics card). When speaking to support they said they only tested 4k, 2560x1080 and 1920x1080. What a joke when an adapter company that claims to be able to do 4K at 60Hz doesn't test more than a few resolutions on their adapters.

    Potential Audio Issues

Displayport Limitations Audio These latest HDMI 2 to HDMI 2 Displayports convert and clean up video ONLY. In terms of audio, they only allow 48kHz 16-bit stereo signals through (both Linux and Windows) systems. I've tried three different brands here at Revain on three HTPC/Nvidia systems. The problem is either Nvidia malfunction or the converter chip or both. In any case, my goal was to improve the sound and video quality. Instead, I've successfully used the $20 PW-HR20-HDMI 2.0 Repeater…

Image is distorted: Computer cable adapter

I bought this after trying a cheaper brand and having problems. The build quality of the cheaper brand was better than this, but it occasionally lost signal for a second or two. This product reproduces a completely distorted image. I can see the start menu, but it's a pixelated mess. My signal path is: RTX 3080 Displayport -> DP to HDMI Adapter -> 30" Certified 18Gbps HDMI Cable -> LG OLED TV The signal path works fine when I connect the HDMI output to my 3080 without an adapter, but I

    4k only at 30hz, not 60hz

Worked fine at 4k, but the refresh rate was only 30hz, not 60hz. Same cable + monitor input worked fine at 60Hz 4k using graphics card native HDMI output or graphics card DP output to monitor DP input, but not DP on graphics card -> Adapter -> Monitor HDMI input; Only 4k@30Hz.

Don't try to connect to a powerful 4k 60Hz output.

Take this with a grain of salt as I've been looking at docking stations and it may have affected my situation. I bought these to work with my Dell docking stations so I don't have to fiddle with HDMI cables when docking/undocking (I use a 4k display only HDMI, laptops have HDMI but docks don't). I was able to connect it to my 4k display and get it to work with a laptop that only plays 4k with full color depth at 30Hz or reduced color depth at 60Hz. Unfortunately, the red color is quite dark…

Works great on my system for flight simulator software

Only share this information if it helps someone; I know I had a lot of questions and did a lot of research before purchasing and wasn't sure if this adapter would work. My system looks like this: Dell OptiPlex 7010 DT with 3rd generation I7 (Ivy Bridge) processor. 16GB storage, 500GB HD and 240GB SSD, DVD burner. I am using an integrated Intel HD 4000 GPU. I'm using Windows 10 booting from an SSD. I have connected an external sound system to the Line In on the back (subwoofer and 2 speakers). I
