In general, I am satisfied with the purchase

I needed a mount as close to the ceiling as possible. There's still a slight wobble between the ceiling base and the mounting base where they connect, which I can't eliminate, but it's stayed where I need it without moving. So the deed is done. For the price - can't be beat, the only improvement is the use of a rotating drywall anchor for maximum support - as my projector weighed less than 8lbs this wasn't necessary. When I was done I pulled on the base mount and it wouldn't budge. In general I

Pros
  • Only plus
Cons
  • Without a machine gun

Pros: Very low profile, keeps the projector close to the ceiling. Cons: 1. If your projector is heavy on one side (like my Epson 3700 and possibly others) the bracket cannot be tightened enough to prevent it from slowly shifting to the heavier side and tipping the image. If the projector has more distant mounting points, there isn't enough room in the mount to even try to balance it, there just isn't enough adjustment in the mount.2. Due to the way it is adjusted it is very difficult to get the

Why the hell did you offer that as a promotion?

I can't believe this thing is being given away as a promotion. Putting everything together was quite difficult, only about 11 pieces. I had to make an extra leg. The screws are stripped, forcing me to get out my screw collection and get creative. The screws that come with the anchors are not proper drywall anchors. That thing is cheap junk. I installed it on a $1300 Epson 3700 projector and am nervous that the screw that connects to the base will be hanging down. I can drill another hole in the

Won't stay in place, difficult to adjust

I like the low profile and neat look of the mount. However, the mount's main job is to hold the projector in place, and it doesn't do that very well. Due to the small distance between the projector and the ceiling, it is very difficult to tighten the handle without accidentally moving the projector. And there are so many kinks in the projector arms that it's difficult to fine-tune them without loosening the knob. After struggling with this and getting the right result, the picture has changed…

The setting function is poorly thought out.

Installation wasn't too bad. I made a few rookie mistakes when trying to connect it to my projector. I was impressed that it comes with 4 different types of screws for different projectors. And once I figured out which arms needed to be extended, I did it quickly. Attaching it to my ceiling wasn't too difficult once I figured out my place. The problem was what happened a few weeks after installation. He just couldn't keep the projector from moving. And then when I tried to adjust it, it only…

Low profile, low price, they fit me.

I needed a very low profile mount that would fit over my ceiling fan. It worked well. However, people need to understand how a "shouldered" center bolt works. a few turns up and down the larger diameter threads on the center screw WITHOUT turning the center screw. The shoulder between the two thread sizes should fit snugly against the extruded aluminum post (hence the Loctite). For my particular setup, I had to drill a hole to get close enough to my projector's center of gravity. I also used…

But it doesn't work solidly.

I have suffered with this thing for a long time even after reading the instructions and watching the informational video posted in the review. All information showed how the assembly fits together and how it can be adjusted and bolted. I don't know how, but it's different for me. I can't remember which part it is as I assembled it a while ago, but somehow the part attaches to the main bolt very differently than pictured. Doesn't appear to be a defect, just a different version. Well no matter…

Not sure about the small screws

I haven't quite finished installing the projector yet, hence an interim report. I'm setting up a Benq HT1085ST projector in a basement with a fairly low ceiling and a flat mount is imperative. This mount is probably the lowest profile physically that also allows for some pitch/roll/yaw adjustments after installation. Watching the tutorial video on YouTube is mandatory, without it it is impossible to complete the first step correctly. One thing the video doesn't mention is that once you get the…
