My wife loves candles so I chose this kit to have fun on a rainy day. We really had a great time making candles. The process itself was relatively easy. Some random things to note to improve your experience: - While the instructions are simple, they are a bit confusing due to the English translations. - The water thermometer has an automatic switch-off. Not a big deal, but it can be annoying when trying to track and maintain temperature. - A pack of wax can fill the two included candle holders.

I sent it back and didn't use it but from what I saw it was basically a good set. This is a very complete set - everything a beginner needs is included. I didn't like the thin silicone molds. I especially didn't like the waffles on the outside of the heart or the cupcake shape. These fragile shapes are not suitable for hot wax.
